Can I get a Whoop-Whoop?? Oh, I wanted to keep this one....

Hi, all!

Hey, y'all, it's Friday again!!  Here in the South we're finally getting some cool weather - it's supposed to be 27 degrees this morning!  Our first hard freeze.....  hopefully it will kill off any remaining ragweed!  It's so much easier to get in the spirit of the holidays when the weather is cooler - and it's easier to stay in and work on projects!

So here's one thing I finished this week....

Isn't that gorgeous?  I can't claim credit for it, by a long shot - Sharon pieced this top and I am in total awe of her mad piecing skills!  Each little house is different....  I really wanted to keep this one, at least hanging around the house for a while until it found a  home, but we got a call for a quilt for woman who loves antiques - and this just seemed to fit the bill!  So I will enjoy it through pics....

The cute little boy and girl on the borders of the quilt, and some of the houses...

... more of those beautiful houses, and look at those trees!  Aren't they adorable?

And check out the sunbursts in the corner...

So, thanks to Sharon, this beautiful quilt will be bringing comfort and happiness to a woman living with leukemia and other medical issues.  I really enjoyed quilting this beautiful top!

So now it's your turn!

What have you done this week?

What made you dance your happy dance?

Share with us so we can give you a whoop whoop!

You have until Saturday night...

To get your whoop on!

Hugs!

Oh - and by the way, you know the phrase "when the cat's away, the mice will play"?  Well, Judi of Green Fairy Quilts is away and Clint is playing - offering up a great giveaway!  So go over and check it out!!

  1. Oh, Sarah - this looks so beautiful - it brought tears to my eyes!! You did such a lovely job on it and I am thrilled it has a home it deserves. Oh I have been to Green Fairies - great 'manly' give away, but I am so tempted with the 40% off, too. I plan on joining Sue over at Quilt Times and get some Christmas sewing done this weekend.
