Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Feeling Modern...

Hi, all!

It's Friday again, and you know what that means - it's time to get our whoop whoop on!!  I hope you're ready - I know I am!

My finish this week is another 16-patch quilt for the
Sweet Sixteen Quilt Along...

This one is made using leftover blocks from a batik quilt I made several years ago…

with some very cool quilting that I learned from Christina Camelli's new book, Step-By-Step Free Motion Quilting.  I'll be reviewing that book and her new Craftsy class next week - be sure to watch for it!

Here's the back - several pieces of batik separated by the same Kona cotton from the front.

I'm really happy with the way this quilt came out!  And - this will be the second raffle quilt if donations for the adoption fundraiser exceed $500!  If you're interested in participating in the fundraiser/giveaway, or want more info, check out this blogpost.  There's still plenty of time to enter - the entries close on Thursday, February 5th at 5 pm CST.

Can I get a whoop whoop?

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's got you dancing the happy dance this week?

What's making you give a little whoop whoop?

Share - we want to dance right along with you!
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!

The party will stay open until Sunday midnight -

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

PS Remember to link up with Julie's Saturday link party, Pet Project Party, over at Pink Doxies!  It's a new party, so show her some love!!

  4. Oh, I just love that first quilt! How big is it? How did you figure out how much fabric for the background? I have 16- 16 patch blocks done.

  5. What a sweet quilt and that quilting design seems perfect. You get a major Whoop whoop!! for this finish especially using up those leftover blocks.

  6. I have been steadily cutting and now piecing stars for a lap size quilt. I hope to make a bit of progress today -- lovely quilts that you make
