Can I Get a Whoop Whoop? A Few Near-Finishes...

Hi, all!

Happy April Fools Day!!  I promise not to do anything foolish for you today - I'm sure each of us is capable of taking care of that ourselves!  I know I am...  But in addition to being April Fools Day, it's also Friday, and that means it's time to get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?

I had three near-finishes this week...  The first was this pretty scrap quilt!

This one is made of 2.5" squares in the four-patch blocks, and 2.5" x 5.5" rectangles in the coin strips.  The background is a vintage Irish linen my grandmother ordered from Ireland many many years ago - it was in her stash when we cleaned out her house.  Everything in this quilt came from stash, AND it helped clear out some of my scrap stash - woohoo!!

It was a beautiful day for taking pictures - hallelujah!  I'm in love with this quilt, but it will join a bunch of others in a special project I'm working on.  More details on that later!

And then, just about fifteen minutes before I sat down to write this, I finished quilting the second of these two quilts! I'll do the binding on these two tomorrow, then they'll go to their new home with two sisters.  They are made, respectively, with a Sweetness by Sandy Gervais for Moda jelly roll and Kona Salmon, and a Bright Sun by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda jelly roll and Kona Breakers.

So - - - can I get a whoop whoop?

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's making you whoop it up this week?

What's got you dancing the happy dance?

Share - we want to dance right along with you -

And it's always more fun to dance with friends!

The party will stay open until Sunday midnight -

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

PS - be sure to come back on Sunday to meet the sponsors for this year's Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge!

  1. Your quilt is beautiful. I love how the sunlight makes the fabric look almost translucent.
