Thanks to all who participated! I'll be having more giveaways soon (one by the end of this month!) so be sure to come back by often. I can't wait to get to know all of you better!
Hi, all!
It's Friday, it's October, and it's a giveaway!! I've joined up with the Fall Into Fall Quilt Bloggers Giveaway, which is a fabulous giveaway going on at lots and lots of blogs today!! Be sure (after you read this post and enter my giveaway!) to go check out the others!!
First of all, the info about the giveaway - - - - I'm going to give away five great books, and I think this time we'll spread around the goodies and have five winners! So without further ado, here is the line-up.... (You can read more about each book by clicking on the name of the book, which is linked to Amazon...)
And finally, for those of you who might want to try out something a little different,
All of these books are from my bookshelf, and are in excellent condition except for #3, Quilting for People Who Still Don't Have Time To Quilt, which has the size of each quilt written in the table of contents (sorry about that!) They have been languishing on my bookshelf and really deserve a good home where they will be loved and worn out, since they are each excellent books! I just don't have time to pick and choose my patterns at the moment. So you benefit!!
Here's how you enter:
1. Leave a comment! Which of these books really rings your bells and gets your creative juices in a tizzy?
2. Become a follower and leave a separate comment saying you have, or leave a separate comment letting me know you already are one!
3. Blog about this giveaway on your blog, and leave a separate comment with the link to where you blogged about it!
4. And finally, because generosity has its rewards, if you've made a fabric donation to our quilt ministry, please leave a separate comment saying so for one additional entry!
So - - - you can leave up to
four separate comments for this giveaway!!
Four chances to win!! Woohoo!!
Random.org will be the one picking the winners. Maybe this time I can figure out how to get her picture on the blog!!
Entries will close no earlier than 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th, Central Standard Time. Winners will be posted on this blogpost on Friday, October 15th and announced on my regular blogpost that day also! You have a few days to enter, so get to it!

And now, for my Friday finishes! This week I seem to have excelled in finishing things that others started - - - first of all, here's a lovely sudoku quilt pieced by my friend Pam. I finished what she had started for the back, then quilted and bound it. It's found a new home with a lady in our church with medical problems.
Don't you just love my little photographer's assistant? |
I also bound this lovely appliqued quilt for fellow ministry-quilter Marsha, and it has gone to its new home with a lady who had surgery this week....
I bound this sweet flannel baby boy's quilt which was pieced and quilted by someone in our Wednesday night sewing group. It is on its way to Texas to a brand new baby boy whose parents are connected to our church....
And I finished piecing, quilted and bound this beautiful baby girl's flannel quilt, also started by someone in our Wednesday night sewing group. It is on its way to New Orleans with our senior high mission group. This is their sixth trip, I think, to New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. The quilt is going to a family they have been working with since they started going there, who are celebrating the birth of a new baby girl!
That's not all I've done this week, but I think it's enough for this post! It feels really good to get some stuff finished! I'm going to link up to Amy's Sew & Tell Friday and Andrea's Lush Friday - be sure to check them out and see what everyone's been up to this week!
And don't forget to enter the giveaway here, then bop on over to the Fall Into Fall blog and see all the other great places having giveaways! It looks like there's over 150 bloggers and on-line stores participating - that makes good odds that you might win something!!! Good luck!!!
Later!
Sarah
