Toddlerless Tuesday #24! Functioning internet is wonderful....

Hi, all!

I'm experiencing the best internet connection I've had in two weeks, and I can't think of anything I'd rather do than post a new blog post!!

I had a moderately productive day today - this quilt went on the frame this morning and I put the binding on it (the machine sewing part) right after Lilli went home.  I'll be doing the hand sewing on it tonight so it can be delivered tomorrow night.  It will be going to an older gentleman who has been traveling with our youth group on mission trips for years to cook for them.  He's battling cancer and the young people wanted a quilt for him.  They signed the back and it's so sweet to read their well wishes for him.  I'll post pictures of the finished quilt later this week.  (FYI, the top of this quilt was pieced by my friend Diane, who blogs here.  It's so nice to have local blog friends!!

And here's a reminder to check out the upcoming Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge here!  Signups will start this Sunday - I hope to see you there!  And please help spread the word this week - you can grab the blog button in my side bar.  There will be a giveaway for the beginning of the challenge, chosen from the people that sign up, and a giveaway at the end of the challenge, chosen from the finished quilts.  Posting the blog button or blogging about the challenge this week can get you an extra entry!

Did you have a good day?

Later!

Sarah

PS  Be sure to check out the giveaway going on over at DomestiCass's blog - it's her first and it's a good one!!

And Julie over at Jaybird Quilts is having a giveaway, too!

  2. So glad to hear your internet connection is in good shape again. I hate when that happens!

I'll post about your Hands2Help soon. You got a lot done today. Do you hand sew the binding on all your quilts?
