It's Friday again! Time to link up and show us what you've been working on!! I'm really excited to see what everyone's been doing, since my week was shortened and not extremely productive.... But I did manage to finish this....
The front... |
...and the back! |
I've named this quilt Sunshine on Water. This is the first of two quilts I'm making for the Hands2Help challenge. I used Amy Ellis' pattern from her book, Modern Basics, and the beautiful fabrics sent to me by my partner, Cindy. Isn't it pretty? Sorry about the dark pics - somehow my camera setting got switched to something obscure - I don't even know what it means, but it gave me really really dark pictures! Thank heavens for on-line editing!!
So that's my finish for this week - I had hoped to finish the second H2H quilt, too, but having to have my Juki repaired slowed things down a little bit. I will say, though, that I found a repairman who came out to my house and worked on not only my Juki but also my featherweight - and both run great now!! The featherweight works better now than I ever remember it running - plus he showed me a few little tricks to keep it running well. It seems there's a trick to putting the sole plate back on - and if you don't do it right, your bobbin won't work........ Who knew?
OK - so now it's time for you to link up! Show us what you've been working on this week, and be sure to check in with some (or all) of the linkers and give 'em a whoop whoop!!
Later!
Sarah
Soooo Beautiful! Sarah - you are amazing! Thanks for all your help with our charity!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have the cutie running in the background:) Stunning work Sarah!
ReplyDeleteWait---someone came out to your house to fix your machines?!! How does that work? lol;)
Whoop Whoop! Love that quilt, and of course, the little charmer makes it all so happy :-) I don't have any Whoop! to talk about this week, still practicing.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! Love those colors and the back is fabulous! Whoop Whoop to you!
ReplyDeleteI like the back just as much as the front of your quilt -- great pattern. Amy is a very talented designer and personality. It is awesome that you have someone who comes to your home to fix machines. "House Calls" -- Love it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt, Sarah! I'd be running in circles like Lilli to celebrate that!
ReplyDeleteA sewing machine repair guy that makes house calls? That's awesome! And I learned that trick about the sole plate cover when I first got my Singer 401. The folks on the Yahoo vintage Singer board helped me figure out what was wrong.
Beautiful and sunny-
ReplyDeleteplease share your featherweight trick. I have one too, but mostly I just gaze at it!
