Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? A Pretty Little Quilt...

Hi, all!

It's Friday again - and time to get your whoop whoop on!!  The last Friday of summer - maybe you've got a great summer project to share?  It's always fun to look forward to the next season, too - all the time in the winter to sew that we don't have so much of in the summer.  Oh, the possibilities!!

Here's one of the quilts I worked on this week...

This quilt was made with some giveaway winnings from Sherri of A Quilting Life.  She had a blogiversary giveaway and I was lucky enough to win these beautiful Riley Blake fabrics, enough to make this wonderful quilt!

We had a request for a quilt for a ten year old girl with Crohn's disease, who was going to have major surgery to deal with the physical effects of Crohn's.  This fabric seemed perfect - I couldn't think of a better use for it, than to make a child happy!  It was wonderful to work with, too - the pattern that came with the fabric was easy and worked up beautifully!

So that's my whoop whoop for the week - I just hope the recipient is whooping with joy too!!

And now it's your turn!

What have you been working on this week?
What's made you whoop for joy?

We want to see - and share some whoops with you!!

The linky party will stay open until Sunday night.
Join in the fun!!

Hugs!

Sarah

  2. Sarah, your quilt is beautiful! I read the other day about your good news from your scan and I'm so happy to hear it! I didn't comment then (pre-occupied with hurricane news now that my son lives in NOLA; he's fine) but I've been thinking about you. Have a great weekend! Lisa

  3. Beautiful quilt! And double bonus that it was made from free fabric for a charitable cause.

Definitely Whoop Whoop worthy (and then some).

  14. Great! I just love the little tree fabric that makes me think of Bob Ross (the painter) who would say "A happy little tree here and another happy little tree over there.."
