Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Time For A Giveaway!!!

Hi, all!

It’s Friday again - are you ready to get your whoop-whoop on?  I know I am!!!  And hopefully my whoop-whoop will make you want to whoop too.....  Because.....

...is such a wonderful number!!!  Last Friday night at 10:35, just as I was getting ready to shut down my computer and go to bed, the little counter on my Followers button turned over to 1000!  Woohoo and whoop whoop!!  The ladies that I was staying with in Paducah thought I was a little odd when I got up and did a little happy dance - but who cares?  It’s a silly thing to be excited about, but since I am, I thought you all should be too - so let’s have a giveaway!!

How would you like to have a chance to take this home..

A Chacco chalk fabric marker (truly a great little tool - the built in wheel makes it really easy to make lovely straight and curved lines)

and these....

two packages of fabric addict post-it notes!

and this....

A charm pack of Bear Country School!

and this....

a covered pocket grid journal!

and this...

a hexie shaped paper pieced pin cushion!

and this...

a quilter’s pillow cover, custom made by me!

and yes, even this!

One yard of Heather Ross’s cute froggie picnic print from the Briar Patch line!

This lovely bundle of loot will go to one lucky person!  Here’s how you can get in on the fun

1.  Leave a comment answering the question, “If you could buy any fabric in the world, past or present, which one would it be?”

2.  If you are a follower, you get another entry!  Leave another comment letting me know you’re a follower.

3.  If you link up for Whoop Whoop Friday, you get another entry!

I’ll draw a winner next Thursday night and post it in next Friday’s Whoop Whoop post - giving someone else a reason to whoop it up!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now, because I didn’t had a chance to do this earlier this week, here’s some photos from our trip to the AQS Show in Paducah....  I’ll let you enjoy these without commentary - just lots of pretty eye candy!

Feel inspired?  I know I sure do!!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's made you dance the happy dance this week?

Share with us - we want to dance right along with you!

For those of you new to Whoop Whoop Fridays,
It doesn't have to be a finish - just something
that's made you happy!

The party will stay open longer this week -

Until next Thursday at 6 pm CST.

I hope you'll join in the fun!

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. Wow 1000, congratulations! Any fabric in the world - that would be the whole collection of that fabric that looks like pearl bracelets.

  2. There used to be a fabric company that printed floral cottons in such a way that the front and back were almost the same -- no whitish lines on the back, and a really soft hand too. I think the company was Wamsutta, and I would LOVE to get my hands on any of those prints!

  3. I am following you with blog lovin,' and I LOVE the quilter's pillow cover!

  4. I haven't been quilting that long to crave just one fabric. Although new is fun, I love the older Thimbleberries lines. They were the 'thing' to use when my mother first started quilting and she still has some of those lovely pieces - they don't compare to the new Thimbleberries.

  6. Laurel Burch fabric has been in my sights since i got a new neighbor who carries a LB bag every day as she walks past my home on her way to teach school. I have drooled over laurel's amazing work for the last week or so and I really have fallen for her fabrics.

  10. Oh boy, what fabric would I love to have? I do not know, I love so much fabric collections out there.... Mostly I love small geometric patterns and patterns that a lines drawings or dots in white. I will be looking out to get some more fabric from a new designer called Jinny-Jou; so cheery and summery! ("Sow the Love" for instance)

I couldn't say which particular fabric I would want, but could I say that I wish fabric was made as well as it used to be? Now, most fabrics available on the market are thin, flimsy, and drenched in synthetic chemicals. [/rant]

  80. I don't know the name of the fabric anymore, but it had lovely yellow roses all over on it, and I bought a full yard of it. (I'd never bought that much at one time - on speculation. I even remember where I bought it... a little shop in Mt. Shasta, CA - on the way to visit my sis in law in Athena OR in the late 1990s. There is nothing left of it... That is the One I would have wanted a bolt.

  114. As far as what fabric I would love to get my hands on......it would be old fabrics from my Mom's scrap bin 50 years ago. I recently pulled out a small quilt I made when my Mom taught me to sew. The quilt wasn't finished until my daughter found it in my scrap bin. She added more squares and sashing and made it into a small blanket. Now the blanket is being used by my Mom and holds the history of a family of sewers. I love to watch Mom feel the fabrics remembering the dresses that the scraps were from. And fingering the seams made by her daughter and grand daughter knowing that the sewing gene was passed on.
I wish I could find a whole box of old scraps of memories in the attic.

  157. Congratulations on 1000 followers. WTG! And what a great giveaway. I don't crave any particular fabric but what I'd buy is a bundle of coordinating fabrics. I have a hard time picking fabrics that work well together. Thanks for the opportunity to win your generous giveaway.

  160. I would buy 100 bolts of medium blue fabric with graphic non-directional designs that would be appropriate for boys & girls....oh, and some red too. I can never seem to find enough of the "right color" and design when making kids' quilts...and of course, if I could buy it at 1989 prices (like around $2.50 a yard) that would be awesome!

  164. I would love to get hold of some vintage Japanese hand painted and hand embellished silk kimono fabrics. But if I did it would stay on the bolt because I would never want to cut it! Congratulations on reaching 1000!

  167. I have a couple of favorites: simply color, and virtually anything by Alexander Henry. Of course then there's all the Kona solids too and the Bali batiks. Congrats on making it to 1,000! Whoop whoop and happy dance with you.

  169. Woo Hoo! Congrats on 1000! Although I've been a quilter for many years I've only just been introduced to modern designers so I would love some early Heather Ross! I'm especially fond of the goldfish in a bag and the gnomes!

  171. Timeless Treasures has a fabric called Shoe Closet. I love shoes although I try to keep it in check now. (!) I have purchased shoe fabric over the three years I've been quilting to add to potholders and mug rugs for friends. They always know it's from me and it always brings a smile to their faces. Thanks for the chance to win.
