Hands2Help - Meet Our Sponsors!!

Hi, all!

I hope you're enjoying the Challenge so far!  Maybe you've started on your quilts, maybe not - everyone works at a different pace - so it's all good!  Today we're going to meet the sponsors who have contributed some lovely things to thank all of you wonderful quilters for participating in the Challenge….

First, let's meet the corporate sponsors.

You all will soon be receiving (via email from me) a discount code from C&T Publishing

good from now until the end of 2016 on most of the items on their website.  If you haven't checked it out, be sure to! You can get a great deal on fabulous quilting books and other items!

Shannon at FabricsNQuilts is a longtime sponsor and supporter of the H2H Challenge, and this year she provided the signup giveaway item, a beautiful quilt kit!  Shannon's beautiful little shop is just a short drive away from me in Jamestown, TN, but you can also meet her in person if you plan to come to the Paducah AQS quilt show in April - she'll be in Booth 4503 in the Pavilion!!

This year, InspiredLED has joined our sponsors and is donating TEN of their awesome sewing machine lighting kits!!  I have these on both my domestic machine and my long arm machine and they are mah-ve-lous, darling!!!  They also have other great LED lighting and the best prices I've seen around - you should check out their site!

Our friend Judi from Green Fairy Quilts is joining us once again and is donating a $30 gift certificate for one lucky participant!  Not only does Judi have a fabulous on-line shop, she is an amazing quilter - her blog is a must-visit if you want to be inspired and impressed!!

Craftsy is back again this year, donating five free classes!  If you don't know Craftsy yet, you should - it's free to join up, there are great on-line classes that you can view over and over again, supplies, kits and patterns at rock-bottom prices, and there are even free classes and patterns available all the time!  If you want to sell your patterns, they provide a free platform for that, too.  Almost any crafty endeavor can be found over on Craftsy!

Amy Smart, who blogs at Diary of a Quilter, has sent a great bundle of giveaway items.  Amy's blog is always a delight to me - she makes such pretty quilts (and photographs them well, too!)

The folks over at Fat Quarter Shop are back again this year, offering three $25 gift certificates!  Have you been to Fat Quarter Shop?  They have a great selection of fabrics, and they feature wonderful tutorials for easy quilts using pre-cuts.  Lots of fun things going on there!

Christina Cameli, from A Few Scraps, is donating a Craftsy class - her own Free Motion Quilting Essentials.  I can testify that this is a fabulous class - Christina is a fun teacher and she makes it all look easy!

Annie Toy, well known for Annie's Ruby Slipperz, is donating some quilt-y goodies and books!  She's a long-time champion of the Challenge and I'm so grateful for her support!!

Kate Conklin is donating five sets of two of her wonderful quilt patterns, winner's choice!  Kate's patterns are beautiful and innovative -  I've made several of her quilts and love them!!

Fabricworm has come through with some of their beautiful Birch organic fabrics - four fat quarter bundles!  I've seen these fabrics personally - they are so soft and gorgeous - and I'm already jealous of the people who will take these home!!

We have another new corporate sponsor this year - one I found on Instagram and just love!!  Stash Builder Box provides a monthly quilting box full of fabric, patterns and fun, and for every box they sell, they take a portion of their own stash and turn it into charity quilts to give to children in need through various organizations.  A great cause, and a great way to build up your own stash for a very reasonable cost!  This is a new business, set to launch on April 16th, and according to their website, if you order by 9 pm MST on April 14th, you can receive one of their very first boxes. You can also find her on Instagram as @stashbuilderbox - show her some love, H2Hers!!!

And thanks to Instagram, we have another first-time sponsor - 7 Acres Cleared Fabric Shop!  Jennifer carries beautiful fabrics, notions and patterns - including my current favorite pattern, My Small World by Jen Kingwell.   She's donating a $25 gift certificate to her shop - woohoo!!You can also find her on Instagram as @7acrescleared - check it out!

And many of you not only give it forward with your quilts, but you also help encourage the people who participate in the Challenge by donating giveaway items!  (Quilters are THE BEST!!!)  So here's what your fellow participants have donated!

Sharon Vrooman, who blogs at Vroomans Quilts, is donating these two beautiful jelly rolls!  Sharon is an amazing scrap quilter - if you've never visited her blog before, you really should - you WILL be inspired!!

Lara Bucella, who blogs at BuzzinBumble, is donating a box of Clover WonderClips, and a copy of her upcoming book, Crafted Appliqué - New Possibilities!  (It's due out April 19th!)  I can't wait to see this book - Lara says she has come up with a unique way of doing appliqué and it should be fun to give it a try!

Terri Johnson, who blogs at QuiltNCards, is donating some lovely fabric prizes!  Terri is a new great-grandma this year (although she's always been a GREAT grandma!) Congrats, Terri!

Sue Daurio, who blogs at Sue Daurio's Quilting Adventures, is donating long arm quilting services!  And her quilting is just fabulous...

Maria Johnson, who blogs over at Beezus Complex, is also donating long arm quilting services!  Maria is a local friend of mine - it's so much fun to have blog friends you can actually meet in person!

Joanne Hubbard, who blogs at Everyone Deserves a Quilt, is donating something everyone needs at one time or another - a coloring book and markers!  If you haven't tried grown-up coloring yet, you really should - it's a great creative outlet and stress reliever!

Kathleen Gansert, a/k/a KatieQ, who blogs at Katie's Salt Marsh Path, will be bringing us some goodies, too!  How about an Aspen Frost layer cake by Basic Grey for Moda?  Awesome!!  Kathleen always reminds me to post pictures of "the princesses" (and now there's a "prince" too!) so Kathleen, this one's for you!!

Carol Steely, who blogs at Fun Threads Designs, is donating two sets of six patterns each, winner's choice, and you can choose your patterns anytime between the end of the challenge and June 2017. She's got new patterns coming out all the time, so you're sure to find something you love!

Karen Green, who blogs over at K's Quilting Korner, is once again donating two of her wonderful "goody bags" full of fabulous quilty goodness!

Selina Kidney, who blogs at Selina Quilts, is putting some quilt-y goodness in an envelope for one lucky participant!  Look at this fabulous mini-cutting board and squaring up tools - awesome!!

And Irene Vigil, who blogs at Hilachas, is donating two cookbooks she herself wrote - because we all need new, easy recipes that leave us more time for quilting!

We've also got some great prizes - fabric, books, notions, and other quilt-y goodness - from some donors who wish to remain anonymous.  We'll call them the Quilt Fairies, I think!  Here's just a sampling of what's in this category - eight mini-bundles (1.75 yds each) of Moda Etchings by Three Sisters!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

Such a great array of prizes from so many generous folks!  I'm still trying to round up a few more prizes - so if you know of a great company or person that might be willing to sponsor and you don't see them listed here, tell me about them!  And if you've got something you'd like to donate, drop me a line at salliesue57 (at) gmail (dot) com….

Be sure to show all our sponsors some love - they really come through when I contact them about the Hands2Help Challenge every year!!  And be sure to check back next week, when the fabulous Myra of Busy Hands Quilts will be our guest blogger!!

Also, I've discovered Instagram (finally!) and my handle is @fabricaddictquilts.  If you're on there, I'd love to follow you!  Also, if you post pictures of your H2H quilts or in-progress shots, tag me and use the tags #Hands2Help2016, #h2h2016, #happychemoquilts, #coveredinlovequilts, and/or #yukonwomensquilts.

Time to get quilting!!

Hugs!

Sarah

I have one of Irene Virgil's cookbooks - great recipes and funny remarks. I'm determined to make it to Jamestown this summer. I've ordered something from her by phone, and she was so sweet!
