Well, it's been a crazy two weeks around here, with the 12 Days of Christmas in July blog hop going on - but it's over now and I didn't want to let Wednesday go by without a scrappy post! Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to work on anything but some commission jobs and the hop stuff, but I did make a super-scrappy back for my quilt-along quilt for the hop, so here it is!
I started with this pile, the contents of my Christmas fabric scraps tub...
...but unfortunately, even after using all those scraps, I had almost a full tub left over when I finished! How is that possible?

Scraps are so good to use, and you even had some left over.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think Christmas scraps multiply more than our other scraps, maybe because it's such a happy time :) Lately I won't even look at any of the new Christmas fabric, I'm afraid of falling in love.

ReplyDeleteOnce I finished my Santa's trip quilt, I cut up the left over Christmas fabrics into 6" squares and yesterday I made a falling charms quilt with them. I still have some scraps so I have decided to make a split 9 patch with them. Thanks for getting me into my Christmas scrap box.

ReplyDeleteWith all the scrapy happiness on the front of my quilt I was thinking of going with just one whole piece of Christmas fabric for the backing. Binding choice is always a daunting task. While it is small is size it seems to play a key role. How will you bind yours?

wow your back is amazing so you have a completely reversible quilt. Sorry not commented on all the Xmas stuff, afraid since I lost Mum in 2006 have not bothered with decorations etc.
