Make-A-List Monday - Back in the Saddle Again!

Hi, all!

It feels like it's been forever since I've been in my sewing room - our trip to New York was fabulous and we had so much fun!

We saw three shows:  Hadestown, Dear Evan Hansen, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

We went to three museums:  the 9/11 Museum, the Museum of Natural History, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

We ate lots of wonderful food that isn't at all on my diet - pizza, cheesecake, pastries, fried seafood - but wonder of wonders, I only gained a pound and a half!

We rode the subway, didn't get lost, and even met friends from home that we didn't know were there!

Now I've got to get back on the wagon, though, and get back to work, too!

Here's what's on my plate for this week!

1.  Work on the commission baby quilt.

2.  Prep for a class on Friday.

3.  Keep working on my snowflake quilt.

4.  Make a class sample.

5.  Quilt one of the annual quilts.

6.  Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.

Kind of a short list, but I really need to get the baby quilt finished if possible.  Of course, the stars are working against me - the fabric I ordered was supposed to be in the mail today, but it was delayed.  Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow so I can knock that out this week!   And there's always other stuff waiting in the wings if the fabric doesn't get here....

So now the question is - - - what are YOU working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. My husband and I were in New York City in June of this year. We saw Dear Evan Hansen & To Kill a Mockingbird also. We loved both of these plays. So wonderful to see. We loved our trip and I hope you loved your trip!

  3. it is so weird to run into people from home in a place like NYC - we did too the time we went back in 2000 - a couple standing in front of us to Ellis Island was from the town next to us - strange!

  4. Sounds like a great trip. My husband has no desire to go to NYC but my granddaughter used to go there on business a lot so I joined her there once. It was amazing. We saw "Matilda" .... the stage set was so awesome!

  5. We all need a break every now and then. Glad you had a great time! NYC is not a place I really desire to go. I'll take a mountain cabin in your state over NYC any day!! LOL

  7. I'm glad it was such a fun and 'tasty' vacation! You have a full plate to return to. I hope the re-entry is easy. I have not made much progress here on sewing. Still need to prep flowers for my table runner but I did help with a lot of stuff including putting together a sewing cabinet with my sister. So far the machine lift isn't working well so the review is still out on whether this was a good purchase.

  8. Looks like a fabulous trip!! Six years ago we won a weekend trip to NYC and tickets to see Bruce Springsteen in concert. The weekend was not long enough! I would love to go back someday and see the museums. I am working in a simple project this week just for fun. It's my reward for getting a BOM done that was semi challenging.
