Hi, all!
Many of you have noticed and commented that I haven't been posting lately, and it's well past time to bring you, my readers, up to speed.
I've been having some health issues this fall that have kind of used up all my band width, and will be having surgery that will hopefully bring things closer to normal the beginning of February.
That being said, it kind of puts a crimp in the usual spring activities around here, most especially Hands2Help. Unfortunately, I'm going to need to at the very least postpone it until later in the year, depending on how my surgery and any post-surgery treatment goes. I'll be making that decision at a later date.
However, I know that many of you have already been working on quilts for this year's challenge, and I hope you will find a good place to send them. This year's charities would have included Emily Bailey's Quilty Hugs, Bernie Kringel's Mercyful Quilts, and Little Lambs Foundation of Utah. All three have been featured in previous Challenges, so you may be familiar with them. Or you may have a local charity that you want to send your quilts to. Please don't let the lack of a formal Challenge keep you from spreading quilt-y hugs!
Thanks for being there for me, and a special thanks to those who wrote to see if I was okay. I'll be back as soon as possible!
Hugs!
Sarah
Will keep you in my thoughts.

ReplyDeleteAs a retired surgery nurse, let me say to eat food before taking pain pills as they need a cushion to land on. Otherwise, you may barf them up and that's no fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what surgery you're having, so will remind you to read and follow your discharge instructions to the letter.
Wishing you well!
I have been worried about you. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope for a successful outcome and a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteI thought things had been quiet...sending you love and hugs and healing light Sarah. Not to worry for one nanosecond about H2H (though I see the wonderful Mari has taken it on now); we will still make comfort quilts and find places for them to live. Please focus on yourself for now. I finally got the charm square packs from last year because Dayna was finally able to cross the border and come to see us. So thank you!! Hug that pup, if she'll stay still long enough!
