Hi, all!!
It's Friday again - anyone up for a Whoop Whoop?? Oh wait, wasn't there something I was supposed to do first? Hmmmm..... oh yeah! The giveaway!!
Well, first of all, thanks so much to everyone who participated or commented - I hope those of you who didn't get involved in time to link up are back this week with something fun to share!
With the people who linked on 2/18, the linkers from 2/25, and the 112 comments left, Little Miss Random had 173 numbers to choose from - and she chose #117, which worked out to be.....
I've also blogged about your linky party, eventhough there's probably not many reading my new blog just yet:http://whereelse.ca/sunsetquilting/?p=1224
Congratulations, Rita!! And if you all haven't checked out Rita's blog, you really ought to!!

I had a good, productive week, part of which you can see on Tuesday's blog post if this is your first time here this week. But since I don't want to repeat myself, here's what I finished since Tuesday - - -
The name of this quilt is "Tiny Dancer". It's going to a 10-year old girl with cystic fibrosis who loves to dance. Here's a close-up of the focus fabric - it's a Free Spirit print called "Ragtime"....
The little people look like dancers to me, so I thought it would be perfect for this quilt!
And I am incredibly happy (actually over the moon!) to be able to say that I think I've finally got the hang of my quilting frame!! I came back from dropping Lilli off at preschool this morning about 9:30. Then I prepared a back, pieced a batt, loaded up a pile of bobbins, put the Juki on the frame, loaded the quilt on, and quilted it - all by 11:40 a.m.! I'm finally seeing the time-saving aspect of the frame - woohoo!!!

So now, the question is - - - what have you been up to this week? Share it with everyone by linking up below - even if it's not a finish, just a step in the process - we want to cheer you on!!
Do your happy dance!!
Later!
Sarah
I ended up slacking in the sewing department this week (but I was VERY productive in other areas) the only finishes I had were the 2 blocks I made for a bee I'm in. I expect this weekend to be full of craftiness as I HAVE to finish a set of placemats for a birthday gift by Sunday. Have a good weekend Sarah!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Rita! Love the Tiny Dancer quilt, Sarah. Did I ever ask you what kind of frame you have? How much floor space does it take? So glad it's working out so well!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased for you and your frame experience!! Despite all my own troubles from time to time, I love to quilt on mine!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Rita!!! Thanks for the place to post even little things we get done, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Rita! I love your quilts...so pretty!

Congratulations to Rita!
ReplyDeleteYou are just smoking on that quilting frame! Way to go:)
I still don't know how you manage to get so much done!
Thanks for letting us share again this week.
Aww, missed the party! Friday was crazy busy for me and I didn't get my pictures posted until just now... :( Oh well. figured I would still share. http://birdolovemoo.blogspot.com/2011/03/this-week.html
ReplyDeleteI did get a good deal of hand quilting done this week (well it felt like a great accomplishment... maybe others would have gotten more done). I plan on doing more over the next week, hopefully finishing up two more sets of circles and continue that way until it is done. Since it is hand quilting it is taking more time than other quilts but I am excited. :) Thanks! your friday parties have helped me have something to work towards.
