Well, I wanted to do one final post for Hands2Help, to let all of you know the final numbers for the Challenge!
First of all, I want you to see the wonderful pile of quilts for Happy Chemo that Emily has received so far...
...and the wonderful pile of quilts that have come in for the NOLA Project to date!
The group of 55 quilters who signed up for the Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge in 2012 have made and donated 94 quilts - 45 for Happy Chemo, 47 for the NOLA Project, one that went to Aussie Heroes Quilts (you can read about that here!), and one that found a home with a friend of the quilter who suffered a devastating loss.
You all are so amazing! Your generosity is going to affect so many lives across the country - I hope you realize what a wonderful thing you have done!! It has been an honor and a pleasure to get to know each of you better through this Challenge - both old blog friends and new ones - and I can't wait until next year!
And speaking of next year, if you know of a charitable group that we could consider as a recipient for next year's challenge, please let me know - I'll be watching for a couple of good charities between now and next spring!
Hugs!
Sarah
