12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop - Day 3!

Hi, all!

So many great ideas, so little time!  But if you start now, you'll have some time to work on Christmas before the holiday rush begins.  Just imagine how much time you'll have when the kids go back to school in a few short weeks!

Here are the links to today's bloggers on the hop...

Amy of Swimming in a Sea of Estrogen, Joanne of Everyone Deserves a Quilt, and Cheryl of Cheryl's Teapots2Quilting have a great line-up for us today - some super gift items and Christmas decor that will make you just burst with crafty mojo!! So hop on over to their blogs - and remember to leave a comment (here too) to be included in today's giveaway.  If you want more info on the giveaway, go to this post and scroll down a bit.  It's complicated - but there's some of Tula Pink's Holiday Homies up for grabs!!

*!*!*!*!*!*!*

Now, if you are working on your own Santa's Trip Around The World quilt, today you will be working on the second strip set panel.  The directions are posted on yesterday's blog, and are the same for each of the four strip sets.  So today I thought I'd share some gift ideas rather than just repeat the same instructions.

Do you sew with a group of friends?  I do, and I always wish I could make little gifts to give them at Christmas.  Planning ahead, and some great ideas, can make this a reality this year!  So here are some cute ideas I've had pinned to my board for inspiration...

These first three would be great scrap busters!  Simple, too, and you've probably got most of what you need to make them in your stash (at least, I do!)

And if, like me, you collect old wooden spools, here's a couple of great ways to put them to use!  This ornament is just adorable...

...and oh my goodness, look at this tree!  I must make one of these for my mantel!

And speaking of trees, maybe you could raid your button box and pull this one together?  My grandkids love to play with my buttons, so I may set them to work making these.

And last but not least, is this not the cutest?  And useful, too!

You can find the links for all of these projects on my Pinterest board "12DCIJ Pins".

Is your cup running over yet?  Are you looking at your scraps with some new ideas in mind?  I know I am!  See you tomorrow!

Hugs!

Sarah

PS Don't forget to go check out the other stops on the hop today!!
