It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - - - at least, in my mind it is! Outside it's still hot hot hot - but I'm dreaming of snowmen and Christmas trees and fun gift ideas! I hope you're enjoying the hop as much as I am - and we've got three more stops today!

And while you're working on that final panel, I found some fun things to share with you. One of my favorite ways to decorate at Christmastime is to replace some of my pictures with printables. (If you don't want to replace things in frames, you can also pick up inexpensive clipboards and just clip them in.) With an inexpensive color inkjet printer and some cardstock, you can have fun seasonal art!
There are even free printable gift tags! At our house, we usually use a different wrapping paper for each recipient, but this year I may try printing out cute tags and using all white wrapping paper and pretty ribbons instead.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use the same color ribbon/paper/tag for a given person! My mom was a teacher, so as far back as I can remember, part of opening presents was learning to read (for me, being the youngest). Everything was a learning opportunity in her eyes. Luckily, we just had Mom and Dad and the three children. Mom and David had no siblings, so we just had five grandparents - no aunts, uncles, or cousins. Yes, I said that right five grandparents. My entire life my dad's aunt with her sister (my dad's mom) and her sister's husband (my dad's father). When my dad was in high school, he moved in with his aunt to help take care of someone in the family who was ill and she needed help in the night with the patient. When he went to college, his parents moved the 1/4 of mi to the other house and then they all just lived together the rest of their lives. I bet the tongues in our community wagged and I never thought anything of it until I was much, much older. Anything to make Christmas happy for a family is a "GO" in my book. I love the printables. Christmas is hectic for me. I have an invisible disability and am exhausted. So, anything time saving is great. That's something my four year old granddaughter could help me do and she could help make something for her mother and grandmother. She hasn't seen them in 17 months. But, we can be prepared, in case they do plan a supervised visitation. Thanks for the great tutorial, too. The quilt is beautiful.

Printable photos would be great for the kitchen and bathrooms. I love the tag idea. One paper and different tags. Maybe I'll look for the youngest baby picturs for everyone and see if they can find themselves. Merry Christmas!

I LOVE printables! I have frames that I change out from time to time all year round. Plus I have several projects that the kids can pick up and run with after they're printed out.
