Where oh where are my minions?? I keep waiting for them to show up, but so far it's just me slaving away in the studio! If you see them, give them my address, OK?
So it's Monday again, and that means it's time to check last week's list and figure out what I'll be working on this week. Let's get started!
1. Put together the final Stunning Stars quilt (which is also a baby quilt for a gift!)
Done! I had a lot of fun making this cute little quilt and even more fun giving it to the mommy-to-be today!!

4. Start working on projects for the next secret sewing for Free Spirit Fabrics!
I'm having a lot of fun with these fabrics - and all these projects will be revealed right here next Monday! Here's some little teaser shots...
I did a whole lot of trimming today...
...and a whole lot of quilting and binding yesterday!

Done! It was an easy week last week...
This quilt went to a woman who was in a very bad car accident...
...and these three baby quilts went to the baby nursery at our local General Hospital.
So that was last week! Oh, and I also took some time (badly needed time!) to dig out my worktable...
This was only a portion of the mess!
And for a very brief period of time it was actually this clean! Not any more, but at least I have proof that it once was...
Here's what's on tap for this week...
1. Keep working on projects for the Free Spirit Fabric post.
2. Arrange a photo shoot for those projects.
3. Take photos of t-shirts for a commission job.
4. Write the first post for the Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge (which starts THIS SUNDAY!)
5. Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.
I'm going to keep it short and sweet this week - those few items listed above really represent a good bit of work, plus I'll be at church sewing with my quilting buddies three times this week!
So now the question is - - - what are YOU working on this week?
Hugs!
Sarah
Hi Sarah, you are like an energizer bunny! So much accomplished each week! Would you share what pattern you used for Nathanael's shirt? I'd love to make some for my 2 grandsons!
ReplyDeleteYou really got a lot done! All beautiful work. Thanks for the stunning stars QAL. I have only been able to make one so far. Will you be putting a tab at the top of your blog for these quilts are do I need to copy them for myself? I really want to make them all.
ReplyDeleteYour quilty things are lovely as normal, but I am very impressed with the shirt for Nathan. You did a great job lining up the lines in front. I used to sew a lot of clothing and I know how challenging that can be.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Sarah on getting so much done! I really like the stars quilt. I managed to finish the binding on the wedding quilt last night. I have two places to go back and fix the quilting where my thread broke and it will be finished and ready to wrap. That's a good thing as we leave Thursday morning for the wedding. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteI am digging out from the quilt retreat this past weekend. I really need to go through fabric and organize/find places for/rethink storage. I would rather sew!
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing a binding on a quilt finish (squeal!) and last night I pulled my orange fabrics out for a Supernova :-) The week is full though so I won't get to sew till Friday but I'm looking forward to it. Enjoy that time stitching with your church ladies! Hugs to all of you for the great quilts you gift!
ReplyDeleteI'm working through my red fabric scraps as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I also have a play quilt I would like to get quilted, soon.
ReplyDeleteThe shirt and the fabric you chose are great! Super retro.
