Woohoo! It's Friday, and that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on! I don't know about you, but I've got a bunch of stuff to whoop about, so let's get started!

Are you old enough to have the Doublemint Gum commercial jingle rolling through your head now? Sorry about that! But it was definitely rolling around in my head when I finished my second quilt today! First up is this fun pineapple quilt....
One of our nieces is expecting a baby in August, and she requested a pineapple quilt in pinks and purples. This was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and I had just the right number of pink and purple pieces - one of the joys of having granddaughters!
I even turned the tables, so to speak, and made one of the pineapples green with a pink top, just for fun! Lots of girlie-swirlies for quilting, which gives it such lovely texture. And it was still wonderfully soft and drape-y when I pulled it out of the dryer!
And since the stores are still closed, I had to pull a back together from my stash. I used all the leftover bits from the fat quarters I used on the front to make the back and I love it!
This isn't your traditional baby quilt, but when I think about it, pineapples indicate hospitality and welcome - and what's more fun than welcoming a new baby?
And the second quilt I finished today may look a little familiar - I made this top back in early March, just before we were locked down. And today it is finally finished! It is going to a new great-nephew who was born a few weeks early - that totally threw my schedule off! It's a little late, but better late than never, right?
I absolutely love those bunnies on the border - such a unique print, and the colors are definitely not girlie! The hourglass blocks are made using a charm pack from the same line.
Just look at those cute little hedgehogs! I've got a real soft spot for them...
...and the little birdies aren't bad, either!
I had a pretty piece of salmon colored oxford cloth that went well with the front fabrics and used that for the back, along with a little bit of Kona Snow to make it big enough. Both of these quilts will go in the mail in the next day or so, and I'll be all caught up on family baby quilts! Whoop whoop!
And I got some happy mail today from my cousin in North Carolina...
She sent this puzzle (I think she noticed on Facebook that I've been using them to while away the time during coronacation) and when I lifted the puzzle out of the box, I noticed the box felt funny....
...and inside were two more puzzles! 2500 pieces of fun - that should keep me occupied for a while! The 1970's puzzle promises to be a walk down memory lane - my cousin and I spent lots of summers together in the late 60's and early 70's, and there will be so much on that puzzle that we experienced together! I'm looking forward to starting that one today.
