Make-A-List Monday - Back on Track!

Hi, all!

Well, we've made it through the 12 Days of Christmas in July blog hop and quilt-along - a very busy two weeks for sure, as I was only staying a day or two ahead of the blogposts!  Next year I vow I'll be more ahead of the game - but it was still a lot of fun this year.  If you missed any of the posts, be sure to go  back and check them out - we had some fabulous projects shared by the other quilt bloggers.

And now, since it's been two weeks since my last Make-A-List Monday post, I think I'll just start clean.  Here's what I'm hoping to work on this week...

1.  Paint the kitchen ceiling and crown molding.
(Gotta put this on the list because it really needs to be done!)

2.  Start piecing a Kitchen Sink quilt.

3.  Start working on Lilli's annual quilt.

4.  Meet with a customer about a memory quilt commission.

5.  Quilt a couple of tops for the quilt ministry.

6.  Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.

That's definitely enough to keep me busy - plus it's the last week before school starts, so I'll be spending some quality time with the grandkids.  We're going to see "Christopher Robin" as a last blast of the summer, at the recliner theater!  They think that's "so cool" and it's not bad for Nana, either!

And just so we have some pics for this post, here's some things I worked on during the last two weeks...

I taught Lilli how to play Monopoly and maybe even beat her Papa (who plays cutthroat Monopoly!)...

Had the columns on the front porch repaired and painted...

Finished a t-shirt quilt for a friend....

Painted my hallway (it's a lot longer than this!) and thanks to my fabulous hubby, hung up a new coat-and-purse rack by the back door!

And lost my mojo, but then got it back when I made this fun version of Jamie's "barn quilt" - a 29" square wall hanging.  I can't wait to make another one!

So now, the only question is - - - what are YOU working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. I am working on the final blocks of my flannel quilt today - the bird quilt is finished!

  2. I am working on getting the house ready for visiting in-laws. My success over the weekend was that the fabric pull for a wedding quilt/gift got two thumbs up (one from the bride and one from the groom/nephew). So that awaits my departing family.

  3. I really want to do Jamie's barn quilt too. The next Bear comes online tomorrow down here, and I have posted off the 2 giveaways. Both Susan in NZ and Susan in Louisiana sent me a lovely email with super thanks and more.Guess this might be another sort of busy week, a book from the local library has a block of a "SKULL", longing to give that a go.Forget meals and laundry, I say.

  4. So glad you got your MOJO back. If the movie is Finding Christopher Robin, or Remembering, something like that, I found it to be not so much a children's movie. Might be worth checking out a review. Enjoy the weekend.

  5. Enjoy this last school-free week with the littles! We've finally left New York City and are working our way along Long Island to visit my BFF and her family at the far eastern end :)

  8. My first "Kitchen Sink" is about to be quilted! Just need to finish the one loaded. It definitely has every fabric from the scrap bin except the Kitchen Sink!

  9. You have been rockin' it as usual 👍🏼 I finished a fun quilt top for a gift but chose to start another before I fired up the long arm. I'm following a fun version of a disappearing 9 patch using charms and some yardage.
I hope that movie is fun with kids. I want to see it too!
