Can I get a Whoop-Whoop?? Some Progress Made...

Hi, all!

Fridays are wonderful, aren't they?  Something about having made it through the week, having the weekend to look forward to - is so much fun!!  I hope you've had a fabulous week and are preparing for a great weekend....

I didn't get to do a whole lot of sewing this week - my studio is a major disaster area and is starting to disturb my creative mojo.  That's when I know it's really bad!  So today, I repurposed a shelf from another room and moved some stuff around and here's my achievement for the week...

Look at all those beautiful flimsies just waiting to be turned into quilts for the quilt ministry (although a few of them are my personal quilts that I haven't quilted yet!)  The ladies in the group have been really busy piecing tops lately!!  And the smaller shelf in the back is holding the shoeboxes of precut pieces - so nice to have those off the floor - hooray!!   One more trip to Lowes for another shelving unit that will go into the closet, and I think I may have my storage problem taken care of.   And that's my big accomplishment for the week!

And on another front, here's a sneak peek of something I've been working on this week - - -

I was asked to participate in a blog tour for a new book called "Back to Charm School",  and this is a peek at the piece I chose to work on from the book.  The blog tour will take place next week, starting on Monday - here's the schedule of bloggers participating:

  15. Now you know me well enough that when I say, "Nice looking rack" you're going to laugh, right? I sure hope so! ;) I really do like the looks of your newly organized space. Cool book too!

  17. I'm happy for your success in organizing...some great flimsies on the shelves.

I'm still neck-deep in my organization. I started a major over-haul in January and it's still not all "there" yet.

I took a class, got ADD during the class and ended up leaving before I was clear on the directions...which created disaster. I was pulling out my hair and then just decided to "sew with the flow".

The new blog-hop project looks really fun!

  18. Getting organized feels so good! I have yet to feel it recently, though! ;) I'll have to work on that this week. I finally got something crafty done this week so I could join you. Thanks for the motivation!

  19. Straightening up a sewing room is no small feat!

I'd intended to be a able to join you this week, but I got a job instead, which was also no small feat! :-)

  20. Well done with the organisation, it's no simple matter, I know. My seven year old daughter directed me in my last stash sort and she did a fantastic job!
