It's Friday again, and you know what that means - - - it's time to get our whoop whoop on!! Are you ready? I've spent my entire evening getting ready for this, because I've been sewing on things I can't share this week. So here's what I'm whooping about!
After my husband came home and helped me carry it upstairs, I put it all together (with some help from him when I got around to putting on the doors - definitely a two-person job!) and loaded in the quilts! I love it!!! It is exactly what I was looking for - and wonder of wonders, it fit right between the two floating shelves we already had mounted on the wall. Sometimes a plan just comes together!
And then there's this....
As of Thursday evening, EIGHTY-ONE people have signed up to participate in the Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge this year!! That is so totally amazing - I am absolutely blown away! And if you've been thinking about joining in, or are just now hearing about it, there's still time to sign up and also throw your name in the hat for the sign-up giveaway! Click here to be taken to the sign-up post, then scroll down to the signup form. If you signup before 6 pm CST on Saturday, you'll be in the running for the sign-up giveaway. It's a great opportunity to do some good while doing something you love, and share a quilt-y hug with someone in need. The best of both worlds!!
So - - - can I get a whoop whoop??
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's got you whooping it up this week?
What's making you dance a little happy dance?
Share - we want to dance right along with you -
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!
The linky will stay open until Sunday midnight -
Hope to see you there!
Hugs!
Sarah

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your quilt cabinet. It looks fabulous!
ReplyDeletePretty cabinet Sarah...I participated in the Hands to Help last year and I thought I had commented on an earlier post that I wished to participate again this year but I've not heard from you yet.....I think I will probably donate to Happy Chemo this year....and today I updated the Hands to Help button on my blog to show this year instead of last year's date....
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect cabinet! My sister just sent me a pin of a refinished cabinet to display quilts. I had never thought of it until then and here's another one :)
ReplyDeleteLove the cabinet, it's perfect for displaying quilts! Can't wait to see more about the secret sewing.
ReplyDeleteI love that cabinet...may have to scope out my local Target for it ;-) I signed up for H2H...can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteYea, that's on my "want" list too, some day my stars will line up. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cabinet! I like the idea of keeping the quilts out of the dust. There's a lot of that here. And dog hair. And cat hair. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cabinet is beautiful. I never thought of that...mine are in a closet or sprawled over the spare bed. Your idea is much better.
ReplyDeleteGreat place for your quilts. Great find. I love the little pillow in the chair too. I love your WhoopWhoop too and I am linking up for the first time today.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your cabinet! I didn't get that e-mail, sadly, or I might have picked one up for storing fabric in the quilt room! My quilts are in a pie safe. That was definitely serendipity all the way around for you! I can hardly wait to see what the total sign-ups will be. My first quilt is partly cut out, and I know I read of someone who already had the quilt top completed - and that was early in the week! desertskyquilts.wordpress.com
