Is it Friday? Yep, it's Friday, believe it or not! And that means that it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on - are you ready? Well then, let's get started!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
I decided this week that it was high time to quit using Jolene as an overpriced quilt rack and see if she weathered the move well, so I gathered my courage, loaded on a little quilt and quilted away!
This was an orphan block baby quilt, made from an orphan block sent a few years ago by Kate Spain in a package of goodies for Hands2Help. It was one of four, all of which are now baby quilt tops that will be sent to Little Lambs Foundation as part of H2H this year.
I was fortunate enough to have a really pretty and vivid coral that worked well with the KS prints in this block.
And I even found my labels when I was unpacking, so I added a label and this one is ready to go!
So all is well, and I now have no excuse to keep from quilting up all of these....
Apparently I've been busy piecing tops since we moved here!
So - - - can I get a whoop whoop?
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's got you whooping it up this week?
Whats making you do a little happy dance?
Share! We want to dance right along with you,
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!
The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.
Hope to see you there!
Hugs!
Sarah
It’s good to see that Jolene made the move and is still working magic on your quilts. Whoop whoop!
ReplyDeleteMy whoop whoop for today will be watching a Facebook live wedding at 5pm where the party of 10 will be wearing masks I made using your tutorial! I had to get creative. I used some velvet I had for the guys, and lace/batting for the ladies. Where does one find lace at a time like this? The lingerie department at WalMart. Tea-dyed-to-ivory lace undies it is!
ReplyDeleteYou sure can get a whoop! How exciting to be able to schedule a quilt top for frame time each day! It will keep you nice and busy for a while!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute little quilt. Glad to hear Jolene is doing well. My pile of quilt tops may be a tad larger than yours....guess I better make a plan. ☺
ReplyDeleteWhoop Whoop! Love the vivid coral, though I'd call it orange, LOL. Good to see Jolene got her groove back. =)
ReplyDeleteLove that bright quilt! If I know you, you've probably buzzed through that stack of quilt tops and they are all done - or they will be soon! Glad Jolene is happy in her new home!
ReplyDeleteYup, time to get that girl back up and running!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting back into quilting! Beautiful finish, too!
ReplyDeleteYay for being back to quilting! You certainly have been busy with the piecing :)
ReplyDeleteNice job on putting Jolene thru her paces, Sarah!!
ReplyDeleteYeah to having Jolene earn her keep!!! Nice work Sarah!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're settling into your new digs, and I LOVE that your longarm is named Jolene the Quilting Machine! :-)
ReplyDeletewell done getting your frame up and running again. Lovely quilt
ReplyDeleteThat coral background is perfect! Little Lambs is lucky to get this sweet little quilt :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad those tops will have a way to get finished! I love my little frame, but fear taking it apart.
ReplyDeleteYay for Jolene! (And now I have a certain Dolly Parton song in my head.) Your sewing space looks delightful for getting all those tops finished.
