If you're anything like me, you really lose track of the days lately - but it is finally Friday, and that means that it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on! Are you ready? Let's get started!

It has been a week full of little things that added up to a good bit of joy....
Like seeing AT&T finally burying our connection to U-Verse and the internet (it's only been ten weeks, after all!)
Receiving some pretty awesome happy mail - a handmade seam ripper from @craftyann59 (her husband makes them) AND a note from a friend with elastic enclosed!
And getting that elastic just in time to fill an order for forty masks for a friend whose husband works for the TN Dept. of Labor, in the unemployment security office!
I had a pretty good two days of sewing, cranking out sixty new masks! And I discovered that you can cut some types of wider elastic in half, which gives me the ability to make narrow elastic out of a large stash of wider elastic I found in my stash. Woohoo!!
So - - - can I get a whoop whoop?

Boy, you have really been cranking out those masks. I can't do it quite as quickly, but I've managed to make a few. Glad that cable finally got buried!

ReplyDeleteYou are amazing. I am not up to your production, but getting there - had to retrieve some more fabric as my cottage in Maine doesn’t have the real stash - part of my essential moving about this week (first time in 3 weeks!!!).

ReplyDeleteOh wow! Didn't know I could cut wider elastic!! I've been making home made bias tape for masks which is so time consuming!! I will get out that wide stuff and see if I can get a little bit more productive. You have done a yeoman's job on those masks!!!! They look amazing and so needful!!

ReplyDeleteYes, you can definitey get a whoop whoop! Great idea to cut elastic that is too wide. IT is amazing how we have all come together to create a variety of things to help with what we have at home.
ReplyDeletefor elastic I went looking in my unmentionable drawer and pulled out some unused halfslips and briefs and checked if I cut off the elastic would it still have stretch. My Hanes do and it is the type that can be cut in half. so now my unmentionable drawer is neat and I am salvaging elastic.
