Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? A Bit of Fancy Quilting...

Hi, all!

It's Friday again!  Did you see the harvest moon last night? It was spectacular!   Always a sign that fall is finally here.  Have you been doing much sewing this week?  I bet you've got something to whoop about - so let's get our whoop whoop on!!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

I've got several things to whoop about this week...

I put the final stitches in this quilt...

Actually, lots and lots of stitches!

This beautiful quilt top was donated to us by Mona R. and is for a silent auction at an upcoming women's event.

I also finally got to reveal the projects I made using Free Spirit's new fabric line, Boston Commons!  Here's the quilt and pillows...

...and here's the table runner!  You can see more pics of these projects on this post.

So - - - can I get a whoop whoop??

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What are you whooping about this week?

What's making you do a little happy dance?

Share!  We want to dance right along with you!

And it's always more fun to dance with friends!

The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. silent auction for the beautiful bright quilt? They would be screaming out the bids, if it was live and noisy!!! Love it.

  2. Love those bright colours! I joined whoop whoop, but I confess I'm not great at these things and not sure i did it right (linking back) I tried to put the gadget in the side bar but it said illegal characters. Am i doing something wrong?

  8. The quilt is beautiful as are all your quilts. Is that your antique settee in the second pic with the quilt? I have one quite similiar. It came from around the Pocono Mtns in PA but it may have come from England prior to 1900? I want to sell mine. Any idea what they are worth?

  13. Since we are preparing to move, Sarah was kind enough to let me send her some quilt projects I had no desire to finish and she really hit it out of the park with the quilting on what you are calling her "starburst" quilt. This was a kit purchased from Hancock's of Paducah--Island Batiks and Claudia Pfeil's Lollipop quilt pattern. The quilt is much easier sewn if you go ahead and spring for the "Squedge Ruler 11.25" (www.PhillipsFiberArt.com) which you will find at your LQS or at the web address above (not included in the $14.99 pattern or with the Island Batik quilt kit--just sayin'). So happy to see how beautifully you have finished it, Sarah, --thanks and hope the bidding nets your charity a bundle!!
