Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Let's Hear It For The Ladies...

Hi, all!

Friday has come around again!!  Can you believe another week has already passed? Time flies when you're having fun...  I hope you're ready to get your whoop whoop on!!

If you're like me, you're working on a lot of things that you can't show right now - but I hope you've got some things you can share! This week I've got a special whoop whoop for the ladies in my quilt ministry sewing group!!

Last Monday our children's minister emailed me asking if our ladies could make some chair pockets for a class room at the elementary school just a few doors down from our church. The ladies were agreeable, so I got all the supplies together so we could work on them last Saturday at our regular monthly meeting.  He needed 25 of the chair pockets, so I thought we might get a good start on them, and then I would hopefully have a few people who could help me finish them up during the week.

Look at all those wonderful workers!!  We really got the Sweatshop rolling, with an assembly line on those chair pockets - - and look what we managed to make in one morning!!

All twenty-five of them - finished!!  And here's what they look like in place...

The teacher was so excited - and the kids were too!!  Isn't that awesome?  And I was excited that I didn't have to spend any time this week finishing them up....  so a huge whoop whoop for the ladies of the Piece*Love*Quilt ministry!!!

*^*^*^*^*^*^*

And just because, here's a picture of both my girls from this week - just hanging out watching Sleeping Beauty!

Emmy deserves a couple of whoop whoops this week - she learned how to sit up all by herself without tumping over too much, plus she got approved to get a cochlear implant!!

And Lilli has managed to learn how to read eight words ending in "-at" - and today read a list of words ending in "-ot"!  I don't think we'll be able to spell stuff around her much longer - we'll have to learn a new code!!

*^*^*^*^*^*^*

So that's some of my "whoops" for the week!

What have you been working on?

Tell us!!  We want to whoop with you!!

The party will stay open until Sunday night...

Be there or be square!!

Hugs!

Sarah

  2. Whoop! Whoop! Emmy & Lilli! Great job the ladies did on the chair pockets. Very handy things. I'm traveling back home, so, I didn't get much done this week, but I did sew at my inlaws. Hopefully I'll have something to show off next week.
