Make-A-List Monday - Clean Slate, Big Week!

 Hi, all!

The beginning of another week - isn't it a wonderful thing?  All the possibilities, things to do and make, places to go, people to see - how lucky can a girl be?  And after spending a few days in the mountains, I feel like I have a clean slate this week.  So let's see what's on tap for...

First off, here's the rundown on last week's list...

1.  Bind the two quilts I quilted on Sunday for the ministry.
Done!  Unfortunately, I delivered them to church before taking pictures of them...

2.  Divide a roll of batting and take half of it to church.
Done!  Time to get more batting - Rita is blazing through it!

3.  Mail off some ministry quilts to their recipients.
Done!  I mailed three quilts last week!

4.  Quilt two more quilts for the ministry.
I only got one of these quilted...

5.  Cut up some more fabric for jelly roll quilts.
…but I did cut up lots of yardage and made seven more jelly rolls for kids' quilts.

6.  Finish the cleaning that still needs to be done before we go on vacation.
Done!  It was nice to come home to a nice clean house, too!

7.  Cut the pieces for the granddaughters' quilts for Christmas (this is a project I'll take on vacation with me…)
Done!  And not only did I get the annual quilts cut out, I also cut out the commission quilt so it's ready to sew together this week!

8.  Keep up with any ministry needs that arise.
Done!  This quilt went to an elderly woman with a wound on her foot that won't heal...

And this one went to a brand new baby boy!

An easy week for the ministry - yay!

I also worked on Nathanael's stocking, and have it all ready for backstitching and putting his name on it!

It's going to be an interesting week this week - I'm hosting a fundraiser party for Nancy here at my house on Saturday, so I've got a bit more cleaning and decorating to do, along with some sewing and taking care of the little girls!  Plus we had a leak in the garage today that pulled part of the drywall ceiling down, so I've got to call a drywall guy.  Ain't life grand?  Let's see what's on the list…

1.  Call the drywall guy!

2.  Finish the cleaning and decorating for the fundraiser.

3.  Work on the commission quilt.

4.  Do the backstitching on Nathanael's stocking.

5.  Take photos of the quilts to sell for the adoption fund at my friend's barn.

6.  Quilt two quilts for the ministry.

7.  Keep up with ministry needs as they arise.

8.  Work on posts for a giveaway/fundraiser coming later this week.  Stay tuned!!

have a feeling that this is going to be a busy week - but we can always adapt to stuff that comes up!  Here's the sweet face that will be a big part of my week this week...

What a diva!

And here's a picture I found this week...

I'm so glad to count many of you as part of my tribe!  I think our banner is a quilt, don't you?

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now, the question is.what are YOU working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  3. Love the quote and your diva! Be sure to fix the roof first, then the dry wall...
I'm making little plants for my last Halloween at this house. We sold ours and bought another, so I will be packing, too. Not much quilting. Maybe some hand curves in the evening while relaxing.
    Have a wonderful week.
    Hugs

  4. Sarah, fix the leak first (not on your list, LOL!!), then call the drywall guy. Repairs are never fun. I just published a tutorial for a Sudoku quilt. Carole @ From My Carolina Home

  5. Cute picture of Emmy! Remember Full House? She reminds me of one of the little Olson twins. Maybe it's the big glasses. I really like that saying about the tribe. We would definitely have a quilt as a banner, but probably couldn't pick just one!
