Hi, all!
Monday, Monday, can't trust that day... but this has been a VERY good Monday! I finally have internet service again (I'm saying that very quietly so the modem doesn't hear me!) and life is GOOD! It's been a good week, too - lots of progress made - so let's see how last week's list went!
1. Organize the notes I made over the weekend about next year's quilt-along quilt.
Done! I've got a solid concept in mind, now it's just a matter of putting it all together into a pattern.
2. Organize the notes I made over the weekend about next year's pre-Hands2Help quilt tutorial series.
Ooh, this is going to be good! The theme is chosen, the ideas are roughed in, now it's just time to design.
3. Update a portfolio of t-shirt quilt designs to send to a prospective customer.
Done! We've got a plan, just waiting for her to get the shirts to me so I can start.
4. Write a tutorial for Wednesday's blogpost. You won't want to miss this one - a great gift idea for anyone!

5. Quilt the wedding ring table topper.
Done! I absolutely love the way this one came out! It is on my dining room table right now and will be staying there a while!
6. Start work on a gift quilt.
Done - and not only started, but the top is finished! Unfortunately, I can't show it to you, because it's a gift and the recipient will immediately know who it's for - but here's a sneaky peek!
7. Quilt a UFO - any UFO!
Done! I finished off this top, a pattern test for Christina Cameli, and now it is in the done stack! I'll see if I can get some full size pics this week...
8. Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.
Done! It has been a busy week, unfortunately...
These three quilts went to our church secretary and her two teenage daughters. Her husband and their father died very unexpectedly of a heart attack last weekend.
This quilt went to a family that lost their two-day old baby...
...and these two quilts went to a husband and wife dealing with multiple medical issues in a nursing home.
This quilt went to a gentleman dealing with stage 4 stomach cancer.
This quilt went to a woman who just underwent surgery for breast cancer...
...this one went to a gentleman dealing with colon cancer...
...and as a happier ending, this quilt went to a brand new baby boy!
But wait, that's not all I got done this week! First of all, I put the binding on four quilts for the quilt ministry - no pics, unfortunately! And then my eldest granddaughter requested a zip pouch to keep some things in her locker, so I made her this one (the color was her request!)
And I took on a quick commission job, quilting and binding these two quilts for a friend.
Aren't they gorgeous? Makes me want to make some more of my own.... but no, wait, I've still got UFOs to deal with! Let's see what's on my plate for this week...
1. Bind four more quilts for the quilt ministry.
2. Quilt a couple of quilts for the quilt ministry.
3. Quilt another UFO.
4. Prep the fabrics for a gift quilt. (I'd love to start on it, but one of my fabrics is back-ordered...)
5. Find a backing for the gift top I finished last week.
6. Play a little bit!
7. Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.
And in light of the events of last weekend, I plan to do what I can this week to make the world a better place - my mantra this week will be...
