Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? The Last Ones for 2018...

Hi, all!

Another week is in the books, it's finally Friday again, and you know what that means - it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  I swear the weeks go by faster and faster the closer it gets to Christmas...  But let's get started with our happy dancing!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

I am definitely doing a happy dance this week, because....

Multiply this times three, and you've got my finishes for the week!  I finally finished the three memory quilt commission job!!

This picture gives you a good overview of what the quilts look like, but each one is a little different - each has a pocket (or two) on it for stashing a cell phone, kleenex, a paperback or chocolates...

Quilt #1...

Quilt #2...

...and quilt #3!

Each quilt also has blocks representing the St. Louis Cardinals...

...and the Tennessee Titans.

All three are backed in the same material, so I was able to load a VERY long backing on the quilt frame and quilt them one after the other - hooray for timesavers!

And here's proof that all three are finished at the same time!  These are my last commission jobs for 2018, so now I can work on Christmas presents and other stuff!  Woohoo!!!

So - - - can I get a whoop whoop?

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's got you whooping it up this week?

What's making you do a little happy dance?

Share!  We want to dance right along with you,

And it's always more fun to dance with friends!

The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

  14. Oh, WOW, Sarah! Those memory quilts are amazing. Adding pockets to the finished quilts is genius, not just for the utility of the pockets but because sometimes the cut-up clothing in a memory quilt looks so different, it doesn't connect to loved ones' memories as easily. But they will see those pockets, and remember the person who always wore the shirt. Also, loading one enormously long backing is sheer GENIUS!! This makes me want to load a whole bolt of goes-with-anything backing fabric and just quilt one thing after another until the backing runs out... :-) Less time loading, more time QUILTING!
