Hi, all!
Did you have a great weekend? I hope so! The picture above shows some of the guests we had in our yard on Friday. That is the view from the window in my quilting room. Our weather was beautiful here, so I actually had to got to help my hubby in the yard on Saturday - but I still did well on my list from last week!
Here's the rundown.....
1. Bind quilt for Relay for Life auction.
Done! This quilt really came out beautiful - the front was designed and pieced by my friend Deborah, the back was designed and pieced by my friend Pam, and then I quilted it on the quilting frame. It's going to our local bank to be auctioned for Relay for Life!
2. Bind purple ministry quilt.
Done! Deborah also pieced this quilt, using the same fabrics as in the Relay for Life quilt, and I quilted it on the frame. This one will go to someone through the quilt ministry.
3. Finish Brown Bag Challenge quilt.
Done! And just in time, too - I got the pictures posted on April Fool's Day! Even though it's not what I originally envisioned, I'm happy with the way this turned out. It will also go to someone through the quilt ministry.
4. Complete one or two more ministry quilts.
Done! Not just one, but two more ministry quilts are completed and ready to take to church tomorrow. (Only one picture, because my internet is running s-l-o-w-l-y....) And I've got two more flimsies ready to quilt, and two more close to being completed!
And now, for this week....
1. Put borders on a signed quilt back.
2. Quilt the ministry quilt with the signed back.
3. Get two more flimsies ready for quilting, with backs.
4. Prepare a back for my Christmas Around the World quilt.
There's plenty more I could put on the list, but let's stick with this for right now and see how it goes!
And now, on a whole different subject...
Did you see my blogpost yesterday introducing the Hands2Help Charity Quilt Challenge? If not, you can go here to read all the details. I hope you will join us - it's sure to be fun!! And please grab the blog button from my sidebar and add it to yours - help me spread the word!!
And one more thing, a couple of great big thank-yous...
Because these were in my mail on Saturday, and look what was inside....
....wonderful donations for the quilt ministry from Deb...
and big yardage pieces from Mary Jo! These donations are greatly appreciated - we've made 95 quilts so far since January of 2010 (34 of those just since January 2011!) and donations are part of what keeps us going!
So that's what I'm working on this week - what will you be doing?
Later!
Sarah
PS - there's a giveaway going on over at DomestiCass - her very first, so go check it out!

Every week you get more done than I do in 2. I'm begginning to think that days are longer in your neck of the woods. Your quilting is very good btw.
ReplyDeleteWow! Always busy over there! Nice to see people sending things to help you out! I also received a box today with backings for the Japan quilts. it was so nice to get some help that way!
