Hi, all!
It's time for me to get back on the horse and get to work in my studio - and the best way I know to do that is with a list! So today my list will be all of the quilt-y things that are on my horizon for the next few months.
1. Annual quilt for Lilli.
I'm planning a postage stamp quilt for Lili, made with some beautiful Kaffe Fassett shot cottons in deep muted colors that I have on hand. They aren't particularly my colors, but they are definitely hers!
2. Annual quilt for Nathanael.
For Nathanael, I'm going to indulge myself and use a design I've wanted to make for a long time - Dragon Dreams!
3. Annual quilt for Emmalyn.
Emmalyn is totally into Harry Potter, and while I don't have time to make her a HP quilt like I made Lilli, I do have time to make a simpler one with the house colors and the Hogwarts shield on it similar to the one shown above, so that's the plan. She's just started re-doing her bedroom in HP so I think she will love it!
4. Ministry quilt tops.
I'm not quite ready to belly up to the belly bar on my quilting machine yet, but I can piece or finish ministry quilt tops for others to complete.
5. Hexie quilt (for me!)
I am really enjoying this project, and hope to make some serious headway while on vacation. I managed to fill in one corner yesterday, so there's progress!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And it turns out I have a real/attainable task list in my head, so I'm going to go ahead and set it out as a good exercise...
1. Keep working on my hexie quilt.
2. Put borders on the string quilt and turn it over to someone else for finishing.
3. Pull/buy fabrics for Emmy's annual quilt, and locate pattern sheets needed.
4. Cut out Nathanael's annual quilt.
5. Press fat quarters for Lilli's annual quilt.
I may will not get these things done this week (especially since I'm on vacation!) but hopefully I will be taking some steps towards completion on some or all of them!
And now, I REALLY want to know - - - what are YOU working on this week?
Hugs!
Sarah
Hi Sarah!! So nice to see you posting to your blog again 💖 I'm working on finishing the Heart Strings quilt I started last week. I'll be basting it today and then I need to decide how I want to quilt it. I've also got 4 Swoon Sixteen blocks made that need 5 more to complete a top. I'll be heading out of town on Thursday (if Ian doesn't spoil my plans) so I won't get anything else done until next week. I love all the annual quilt plans you have...that dragon is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThe dragon quilt is so cute! I'm sure he will love it. I'm trying to finish something ... ANYthing! I was on vacation last week so much got done but no finish. I still have half of Good Fortune (aka Field of Poppies) by Bonnie Hunter to quilt on my DSM. Also working on some very scrappy borders for the Hole in the Barn Door quilt. It's a real scrap buster but oh! time-consuming process.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week vacationing! ;^)
I love those shot cottons--I have a small roll of them awaiting some idea to strike me!!
ReplyDeletethat Dragon quilt is just adorable--i am sure it will be loved a lot!! Hugs, julierose
