Make-A-List Monday #71! Oops - what happened to Monday?

Hi, all!


Wow, where did Monday go?  I got so busy trying to finish things on my list that Monday just disappeared on me.....  So I guess this is Make-A-List Tuesday this week!  


Let's see how I did on last week's list...

1.  Finish loading the Coach's quilt on the frame and quilt.

Done and delivered!

2.  Make a back for the brights quilt.

3.  Quilt the brights quilt.

Done!  I like the way this one came out...

4.  Cut out pieces for a pair of commission quilts.

Not yet done - I've pressed the fabrics, and come up 

with the design I'm going to use.  This commission 
changed from two quilts to one, 
but I had to make adjustments to turn it 

into a twin size quilt instead of a lap quilt.

5.  Make two quilt backs for the ministry quilt flimsies.

Didn't get to this one!  (Again....)

6.  Finish deconstructing the futon cover, 

and hit that foam sale this weekend!

Done!  Got the futon cover completely torn down,

and got all the foam I need for about $22.50 a yard!

Woohoo!!

And now for this week.....

1.  Make two quilt backs.

2.  Quilt two more ministry quilts.

3.  Cut out the commission quilt.

4.  Hem a pair of hubby's pants.

5.  Quilt my friend's quilt.

6.  Cut out cushion covers for my other friend!

That's enough for this week - it would be nice if I can get this much done, wouldn't it?  Keep your fingers crossed.....

Can I get a Whoop-Whoop?? Not Your Usual Finish.....

Hi, all!


It's Friday again!  Are you ready to get your whoop whoop on?


Well, today rolled around and I suddenly realized that I didn't have a quilt-y finish, or even really an in-progress to share - but I do have a non-craft related finish!

I know I said I wasn't going to talk much about this on my blog, but this was my only significant finish this week - I finished my chemo treatments!  Woohoo!  Now food can go back to tasting normal again.....  ;-)


And on a much cuter note, here are some pics of Miss Lilli that I found on my phone today - a few "end of summer" shots...

What is it about those Old Navy mannequins that draws little kids? Lilli always wants her picture made with them....

   And some late summer shots from the boat - Lilli and her Poppa...

Lilli driving the boat - - - see her pointing where to go?  Different from where Poppa told her to go!  She said, "Poppa, I know how to drive the boat, and I want to go over there!"

And she's the only one in the family who gets to put her feet up on the dash of the boat!!  Everyone else gets yelled at.....  ;-)

What's Cookin' at The Sweatshop, Week #12

Hi, all!


Wednesday rolls around again, so it's time for another update on The Sweatshop!  Things are starting to heat up around here again...

This pretty quilt, pieced by my lovely friend Kathy, has found a home with a young woman who has had several brain surgeries and is having some difficult complications from that....

...and this beautiful quilt, pieced by Emilie, is headed to a lady suffering from cancer in Florida...

...this lovely little baby quilt, made by Cindy, is going to a family suffering from financial hardship in our local area for their upcoming baby...

...and this cheerful quilt, which was pieced and donated by Deb A., is going to a woman in our local area who had a heart attack and has had multiple complications since then.

I thought I'd show you some detail - I love to quilt in words of hope when I'm doing my FMQ....


We've got quilts in the works right now for a local coach, a child with Crohn's disease, a woman who just lost her husband, and the two quilts needed for our next prayer service.  Whew!  It's staying busy - - - and sweaty! at the Sweatshop!!   Hopefully those will be finished to appear on next week's update.....
