Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Orphans No Longer!

Hi, all!

It's Friday again - and the first Friday in November, can you believe it??  I know we're coming up on the time when you might not be able to share the things you're working on, but I hope you'll still try to join in - maybe sneak peaks? Just keep it in mind while you're working each week!

I've had a really busy week working on quilts for the quilt ministry - I think we've had twelve requests since last Monday!  Thursday I quilted these two tops…

The red quilt is going to a woman in hospice care, and the pink quilt is going to a young mother dealing with breast cancer.

The last quilt I quilted on Thursday, though, just blows me away - Rita, a member of our group, took a box of donated tiny orphan pinwheels and pieced blocks and created this beauty.

Isn't that gorgeous?  She did such a great job piecing all those little blocks together!  This quilt will be going to a gentleman who will be undergoing kidney surgery next week.

(Sorry about the quality of the pics - it rained here all day, with wind gusts of 35-40 mph.  Definitely not picture taking weather!  It's also messing with my Internet connection...)

So that's my whoop whoop for today!!  One more quilt to go, then I'm caught up on ministry quilts (for the moment, anyway) and can start working on some of my own "unmentionable" projects!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's got you whooping this week?

Do share - we want to whoop right along with you!!

The link will remain open until Sunday midnight -

So there's plenty of time to join in!

Remember, it doesn't have to be a finish…

Just something that's made you happy!!

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

  10. I posted a civil war quilt I am working on...it isn't on my blog yet and I went to crop the picture and it took what was there and closed and wouldn't let me make any changes. I hope I did this right

  13. One of the quilts I've made that I loved the most was of orphan blocks. I made it for my sister-in-law and was so glad I did. She went to heaven soon thereafter. This one you've shown is really pretty. He will be blessed with it.
