Even in winter, snowed in and suffering from cabin fever, Friday rolls around. And you know what that means - - - it's time to get our whoop whoop on!! Are you ready?
My finish this week was a great way to enjoy the colors of summer...
...even as I braved the frigid temperatures to take pictures today!
I love the bright colors against the white snow!
Beautiful hand-dyed fabrics and Kona cotton...
And look - my favorite IKEA fabric on the back!
A little hint of summer in the cold, cold winter!
Can I get a whoop whoop?
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
Be sure to check back on Sunday for a tutorial for this quilt - another one for the Sweet Sixteen Quilt Along!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's made you happy this week?
What's got you dancing the happy dance?
Share - we want to dance right along with you!
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!
The party will stay open until Sunday midnight -
Hope to see you there!
Hugs!
Sarah
Wow this is a fantastic summer quilt and great photo in the snow!
ReplyDeleteSarah, the lime centers with the batik are gorgeous! The WOW Factor is when you see it from a distance, and the toughest one for us to gauge when picking fabrics a hand's length away. Outstanding colors in our drab winter.

It's beautiful, the snow makes it even nicer :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know IKEA had fabric, I have binding to put on a quilt today and then a new label for it.
ReplyDeleteLove the lime green. It does brighten up this cold snowy day. You have so many wonderful 16-patch ideas. Love the IKEA fabric on the back. Whoop Whoop, indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteThat green does look gorgeous against the snow, not something ever to be seen here. We're in the middle of a heat wave!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics! That is a happy dance quilt.
ReplyDeleteYes! You were might brave to take snapshots in frigid weather. But! it is such a beautiful quilt and the snow is a wonderful backdrop for it!! I love the colors and green background! It would look great in my house :). Thank you for hosting your linky party. It has been awhile since participating.
ReplyDeleteIts so happy and bright!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a lot of brightness amidst the dark of winter!
ReplyDelete(Love the Ikea backing--wish our nearest Ikea was a lot closer than 428 miles!)

What a bright, beautiful quilt for winter, and it definitely livens up all that snow! This is the perfect cure for blizzards!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this quilt! The colors do scream summer and I am so ready for it! I would not have been photographing it outside as you did, but it does look great against the snow! Great finish.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteI just want to grab that quilt off the line and cuddle in it! It's waaaay too cold and snowy for me to venture out for pics...better to cuddle in them.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so bright and beautiful, makes even the snow look good!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely and bright! An excellent way to warm up a cold winter day.
ReplyDeleteAt quilt guild, last night, there were 2 different 16 patch patterns on the freebie table. I grabbed them, and thought of you. Hope this next ice storm misses you.
ReplyDeleteLove your Spring look. You'll have to make lots more quilts to cover over all that snow, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteWe moved here hoping for some of that white stuff (and to be near the most grandkids...) but we are getting none. Even in the mountains all around there has been less than usual.
Keep up the valiant work of bringing spring to TN. You've got your work cut out. LOL
Hugs
Love your quilt and backing. Sure wish IKEA had moved to Nashville instead of Memphis!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with Patricia's post, I wish IKEA would move to Nasville. Your quilt looks fantastic. What a colorful pop against the snow. I feel warmer already.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and I so wish that I had an Ikea close by.
ReplyDeleteSarah - I opened up a bin of "miscellaneous quilty stuff", and there was a big pile of 16 patches... a sign ! So I right away started my H2H quilt !!!! Or maybe there is enough to make two !
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a beautiful shot of limeade in the snow! Makes me thirsty for summer.
