Hi, all!
Well, it's official - I'm admitting that I am in denial! I actually caught myself turning around and walking the other direction today in a store when I overheard someone start to say how many days it was until Christmas!
I did actually buy a little Christmas present or two today, but I haven't even begun the hard core shopping or sewing. I've got a couple of commission jobs to get out of the way (hopefully this weekend!) and then I'm buckling in for Christmas sewing!
So - are you in denial too, or are you one of those people who've got their Christmas shopping all done, wrapped, and ready to deliver at Thanksgiving dinner?

Is it denial in my case? We have a daughter's wedding next weekend. Oh, My!
ReplyDeleteWe can't even start till after Thanksgiving in my family. When we get together for turkey and football, we each draw a name of someone else in the family and then have to make sure the present gets to them by Christmas. =)
ReplyDeleteDenial? Not at all, but christmas called to say that it was late this year :) So I am taking my time...
ReplyDeleteI am SO in denial, too!! I haven't even started thinking about Christmas presents much yet at all. There are two local radio stations that started playing all Christmas music last week, and I refuse to listen. It's not Christmas yet!! The day after Christmas, I will start to listen to Christmas music almost exclusively, and I will have my first eggnog latte of the season--but not until Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteNo denial here! I already have my Christmas tree up, and a couple of presents under it! I don't think my husband is too happy about it, but he'll get over it. :-)

ReplyDeleteHaven't thought about shopping AT ALL. But I'm working on some Christmas gifts in the sewing room. I'm in denial about how much I'll actually get done versus what is on my to-sew-before-Christmas list!

ReplyDeletei am in denial about a lot of things, and for sure one of them is Christmas....i will have a baby that is nearly three weeks old by then so i certainly can not acknowledge Christmas when the other thing i am in denial about is that we are really having a baby.

ReplyDeleteWe have completely scaled back the gift giving in the last few years. We give 4 gifts...2 daughters, one son-law and my husband's parents and those are cash or gift cards. Everyone's happy and I'm not stressed:)

ReplyDeleteI have 4 out of 5 nieces and nephews birthdays in December as well, so I am a bit behind on the shopping.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I'm in denial! I've got 5 Christmas quilts to sew and I've only gotten one top done. Hmmm...... but, what's Christmas without late night sewing sessions? LOL!
