Are You Up For A Challenge?

Hi, all!

I'm accepting the challenge extended by Val of Val's Quilting Studio - save my small change in a piggy bank for a year and buy something wonderful and quilt-y with it when I crack it open on July 6th, 2015!!

So first of all, let me introduce you to Princess Petunia Piggy…

I originally bought her for Lilli, but she's just so stinkin' cute in her tiara and tutu that I decided to keep her for myself!  And now she will be the guardian of my small change - which will hopefully accumulate and increase inside her so that I can afford this next July

Isn't that gorgeous?  I've wanted one for a while but just can't justify the expenditure - so we'll see what Princess Petunia Piggy can come up with in a year!

Come join in the fun at Val's - you can link up all week, until Sunday July 13th.  See you there!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And just a reminder - we've started the giveaway/raffle for Nathanael's Ladder

and we're well on the way to needing the second quilt I promised if donations exceed $500!  Here's a picture of the next quilt we'll be including in the giveaway when we reach that goal

This quilt is call "A Quick Trick Block Stack" (from Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss!) and it's made from Kona cottons and my absolute favorite IKEA backing fabric of all time.  Straight line quilting and cotton batting and it's so soft and snuggly!  I'll have more pictures when we hit the $500 goal.

There's still plenty of time to join in and help us #bringNathanaelhome!
Check out the blogpost here and see all the ways
you can enter in the giveaway.
Entries close on 7/24/14 at 6 pm CST,
so the winner can be announced on
Christmas in July!

Hugs!

Sarah

  2. I just LOVE your piggy bank and need to search for one (I collect pigs). So much cuter that a black lock box.

  3. This is such a great idea and Princess Petunia is so cute. It almost makes me wish I paid for things with cash so I'd have change to save.

  5. The quilt is simply beautiful and with kona cottons too. I love what you are saving for, I think Miss Petunia will make that goal.

  6. Petunia is one cute piggy bank. Maybe I should save for an iron too. It seems like such a virtuous purchase next to more fabric. :)
