Hi, all!Wow, it's Friday already! This week flew by, and I don't have a lot to show for it. So I'm counting on you all to share your whoop-worthy moments (maybe it will make my sew-jo feel guilty and show back up!) So are you ready? Let's get started!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
As I said, my sew-jo just got up and moved out on me this week. I couldn't get motivated to sew, but I did put the binding on a bunch of quilts for the quilt ministry....
...so I did battle through some of it. The struggle is real, y'all! Of course, it probably didn't help that I had a really good book to read...
And while I was sitting out on the porch reading, I notice that I had a beautiful visitor at my butterfly bush! He obligingly sat still long enough for me to take a picture. There were lots of bees, too, but they weren't as accommodating.
So - - - if you see my sew-jo, could you please send her home?
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's got you whooping it up this week?
What's making you do a little happy dance?
Share! We want to dance right along with you,
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!
The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.
Hope to see you there!
Hugs!
Sarah
I'm sorry about your sew-jo, but I think binding counts! And a good book plus a pretty view is a wonderful way to spend your time, too. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYou've had quite a busy few months so no wonder you need to refill your tanks! The reading and butterfly watching is just what you need!
ReplyDeleteI think thats okay to read a book and relax.... I feel like you are going 200% all the time... its all good!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading on the deck every afternoon myself, and I say enjoy it! (Whatcha readin'?) And binding totally counts, btw! I sorted through patterns yesterday, a bag full that I picked up at a rummage sale several weeks ago (p.s., what a deal!). Will I sew even a fraction of them? Probably not, but I think I love them just because of the potential they have, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, I know exactly how you feel! My SewJo up and left for over a month!! It's so frustrating... it finally showed back up this past week :-) I hope yours finds its way home soon!! I finally finished quilting my friend's Double Wedding Ring quilt and I'm currently making bias binding to get this project off my plate.
ReplyDeleteSEW sorry to hear that all those bindings didn't do the trick of waking up your get up and go, Sarah!! :o((
ReplyDeleteFound it.😁 It fell off the laundry basket when you went outside and couldn't reach the door knob to get back in! 😉 (I hope it makes you smile a little.) (After all you did for 12 Days of Christmas, Hands2hands and String Therapy, it's okay to take a sewingcation!) Still, binding does count as a quilt is not finished until the binding is done. So, pat on the back. You did awesome! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWell, Chantal's answer made me smile, at least. You're just resting up to get ready to work on the grands annual quilts. I hope you've settled on the ideas, so when you start, you'll whiz right through them.
