I hope you all are enjoying the same beautiful weather we are having here in Tennessee - it's been spectacular! We even managed to get the boat out on the lake yesterday for the first time this season. A perfect day! It sure started out weird though - when we pulled up to church yesterday morning, there was a pair of peacocks standing by the door as if they were waiting to go in! Just goes to show you never know what you're going to see - amazing things surround us everywhere!
Let's see how I did on last week's list...
1. Quilt a ministry member’s quilt for her neighbor who is sick.
Done! This turned out really nicely, and is going to a woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

2. Finish a ministry quilt for a woman getting ready
for open heart surgery.
We lucked out - Anita sent us some beautiful finished quilts and this one was perfect for this woman! She will be having her surgery tomorrow, I believe.

3. Finish a ministry quilt for a man with bilateral lung cancer.
Done! I really had fun with this one - the man runs a motorcycle repair shop, and when I found these fabrics in the stash at church, it was meant to be!

4. Write the tutorials for the block blog hops.
In progress. I just downloaded EazyDraw for my Mac in hopes of finding a way to draw the block diagrams instead of using photographs. Wish me luck! If it works, I may be posting my free tutorials on Craftsy after I re-do them.

5. Write up a quilt tutorial that has been requested.
Done! A woman requested a tutorial for this quilt, Oh! Fibonnaci, that my niece made. It stretched my brain a bit to remember how we did it, but that's good, right?

7. Continue switching over email addresses.
Still working on it. A friend at church (who is much more tech savvy than I) is trying to find a way to move my saved emails along with their labels. Fingers crossed!

I didn't get to this - but fortunately it was a quiet week, with the only requests coming with the promise that other ministry members will work on them!

There's something floating around in the back of my head that I'm forgetting, but I can't get a hold of it. Oh well! This is plenty for the week - I probably won't get around to all of this!

And now, along the lines of "shameless plug", my daughter has opened a new Etsy shop, where she is selling some really nice jewelry to raise money to #bringnathanaelhome (our future Chinese grandson). Here's an example of the beautiful stuff she's making…
They can be customized in many ways - she's got several different shapes and colors of pendants, and she has several different sayings behind the cabochons. You can also get one customized with pictures of a family member - she's making them right now for Mother's Day with pictures of the kids! Unfortunately, you probably couldn't order one and get it in time for Mother's Day now, but they are lovely!
