Hi, all!
It’s Friday again - are you ready to get your whoop-whoop on? I know I am!!! And hopefully my whoop-whoop will make you want to whoop too..... Because.....
...is such a wonderful number!!! Last Friday night at 10:35, just as I was getting ready to shut down my computer and go to bed, the little counter on my Followers button turned over to 1000! Woohoo and whoop whoop!! The ladies that I was staying with in Paducah thought I was a little odd when I got up and did a little happy dance - but who cares? It’s a silly thing to be excited about, but since I am, I thought you all should be too - so let’s have a giveaway!!
How would you like to have a chance to take this home..
A Chacco chalk fabric marker (truly a great little tool - the built in wheel makes it really easy to make lovely straight and curved lines)
and these....
two packages of fabric addict post-it notes!
and this....
A charm pack of Bear Country School!
and this....
a covered pocket grid journal!
and this...
a hexie shaped paper pieced pin cushion!
and this...
a quilter’s pillow cover, custom made by me!
and yes, even this!
One yard of Heather Ross’s cute froggie picnic print from the Briar Patch line!
This lovely bundle of loot will go to one lucky person! Here’s how you can get in on the fun…
1. Leave a comment answering the question, “If you could buy any fabric in the world, past or present, which one would it be?”
2. If you are a follower, you get another entry! Leave another comment letting me know you’re a follower.
3. If you link up for Whoop Whoop Friday, you get another entry!
I’ll draw a winner next Thursday night and post it in next Friday’s Whoop Whoop post - giving someone else a reason to whoop it up!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now, because I didn’t had a chance to do this earlier this week, here’s some photos from our trip to the AQS Show in Paducah.... I’ll let you enjoy these without commentary - just lots of pretty eye candy!
Feel inspired? I know I sure do!!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's made you dance the happy dance this week?
Share with us - we want to dance right along with you!
For those of you new to Whoop Whoop Fridays,
It doesn't have to be a finish - just something
that's made you happy!
The party will stay open longer this week -
Until next Thursday at 6 pm CST.
I hope you'll join in the fun!
Hugs!
Sarah
Wow 1000, congratulations! Any fabric in the world - that would be the whole collection of that fabric that looks like pearl bracelets.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Linda
There used to be a fabric company that printed floral cottons in such a way that the front and back were almost the same -- no whitish lines on the back, and a really soft hand too. I think the company was Wamsutta, and I would LOVE to get my hands on any of those prints!
ReplyDeleteI am following you with blog lovin,' and I LOVE the quilter's pillow cover!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been quilting that long to crave just one fabric. Although new is fun, I love the older Thimbleberries lines. They were the 'thing' to use when my mother first started quilting and she still has some of those lovely pieces - they don't compare to the new Thimbleberries.
ReplyDeleteI am a GFC follower
ReplyDeleteI linked up my May goals - a lighter month so I can enjoy some outdoor time.
ReplyDeleteLaurel Burch fabric has been in my sights since i got a new neighbor who carries a LB bag every day as she walks past my home on her way to teach school. I have drooled over laurel's amazing work for the last week or so and I really have fallen for her fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI follow you with Bloglovin. The quilt in your header is my favorite these days.
ReplyDeleteI'm number three in the Whoop Whoop hookup.
ReplyDeleteOf course you are entitled to a BIG HAPPY DANCE for reaching 1000 followers!!! Congratulations, you have deserved it!

Oh boy, what fabric would I love to have? I do not know, I love so much fabric collections out there.... Mostly I love small geometric patterns and patterns that a lines drawings or dots in white. I will be looking out to get some more fabric from a new designer called Jinny-Jou; so cheery and summery! ("Sow the Love" for instance)
ReplyDeleteEsther
Congrats on your first 1000! I follow with GFC.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to choose just any fabric so I would love a complete set of every design by Liberty in their gorgeous tana lawn fabric.

ReplyDeleteWhooping hard question to answer as I would like to buy lots of different fabrics. But I suppose I would really love a couple of metres of Superbike or motogp fabric then I could make my daughter a very special quilt.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say some of the early lines of fabric from Tula Pink - I missed out on several of those. Congrats on 1,000 followers!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower!

ReplyDeleteAnd yes - I am a follower - as of last Friday night! The counter was at 999 when I joined. Couldn't leave you hanging:)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog - always something inspiring and fun. Thank you.
Congratulations!! I'm a prim fabrics, and my favorites are Kansas Troubles fabrics ... they all work together so well but aren't overly drab so that quilts made from KT fabrics aren't too dark and dreary.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your milestone!
ReplyDeleteThere is a really old garden trellis fabric by Kaffe Fassett I want. There is none to be had and he won't reprint. Someday I will find it.
I try to link up every week!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I follow you on RSS feed, so I'm not sure I am one of the 1000 - so maybe you have 1001 followers. I would love to have more of a Hoffman "silver" swirls that has purple, turquoise and all shades in between, highlighted with silver. A quilt I used on my bed for a long time is made with that and I would love to have more of it. I do have a drawer of frog fabric saved away for a great niece who loves them. Thanks for all your postings - I love the eye candy on Fridays!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower ( thru Bloglovin)
ReplyDeleteIf I could buy any one fabric... wow.... I am not really sure. I love the old fabrics of the 1840's that my great aunts used in their quilts, but I always thought they were mens shirts.... so then! I know - I would purchase the fabric they used to make my great uncles and great great grandfathers shirts ;-)

ReplyDeleteWow what a prize package. I love batiks, so would probably buy a blue and purple one I saw 10-15 years ago and can't find anywhere now. The quilts from Padukah are wonderful. I went 10 years ago when I was just starting to quilt and came away inspired and intimidated at the same time.
ReplyDeleteDragonfly Magic Fabric Bundle would be the fabric I would buy.
ReplyDelete24Tangent@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI couldn't say which particular fabric I would want, but could I say that I wish fabric was made as well as it used to be? Now, most fabrics available on the market are thin, flimsy, and drenched in synthetic chemicals. [/rant]

I don't know the name of the fabric anymore, but it had lovely yellow roses all over on it, and I bought a full yard of it. (I'd never bought that much at one time - on speculation. I even remember where I bought it... a little shop in Mt. Shasta, CA - on the way to visit my sis in law in Athena OR in the late 1990s. There is nothing left of it... That is the One I would have wanted a bolt.

ReplyDeleteand I am a follower, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the Pam Kitty fabrics, I fell hard for the "morning" line, so I would say a supply of all of the Pam Kitty lines from the past, the present and the future would make me super happy.

ReplyDeleteAs far as what fabric I would love to get my hands on......it would be old fabrics from my Mom's scrap bin 50 years ago. I recently pulled out a small quilt I made when my Mom taught me to sew. The quilt wasn't finished until my daughter found it in my scrap bin. She added more squares and sashing and made it into a small blanket. Now the blanket is being used by my Mom and holds the history of a family of sewers. I love to watch Mom feel the fabrics remembering the dresses that the scraps were from. And fingering the seams made by her daughter and grand daughter knowing that the sewing gene was passed on.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find a whole box of old scraps of memories in the attic.
Hands down, yards and yards of the purple cloth mentioned in the Bible.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog.
