Make-A-List Monday #52! Summer's In Full Swing.....

Hi, all!

I hope your summer is going well!  Do you find that you don't get as much crafting done in the summer - or do you manage to find time for more?  Does your crafting focus change?  Enquiring minds want to know!

I find that I don't usually get as much done as I think I will - and this week's list is a good example of that.  Let's see how I did...

1.  Quilt those eight flimsies!
Well, I didn't get to all eight - but I did quilt four of them! Here are pics of three (I delivered one to a friend to have the binding put on and forgot to take a pic first....)

2.  Cut out a new ministry quilt in blues.
As my son-in-law would say, Epic Fail!
I didn't get to this at all...

3.  Work on the Marine quilt.
But I did knock this one out of the ball park!!

This was my husband's Father's Day gift from me - not as exciting as some but better than a pair of socks!

4.  Find a blogger to feature next Sunday (because I forgot Surfin' Sunday this week!! Ooops...)
I'm so happy to be able to say I remembered this week!  If you didn't see the post about Hollie over at The Undercover Crafter, you can check it out here!

And I did get one more thing done - my bee blocks for TraceyPNW!  Take a look...

So what's on the list for this week?

1.  Bind the three quilts that were quilted last week.

2.  Cut out the blue ministry quilt.

3.  Finish the back for my Christmas quilt.

I'm going to stop there - maybe I'll get more done, but at least this way I'm fairly sure the list is do-able!!

What are you working on this week?

Later!

Sarah

PS - Linda over at Stray Stitches is having a great giveaway - go check it out!!

  1. Lots & lots of finishing! I have tops to complete, tops to quilt, paperwork (like you wouldn't believe), sketching a new project (can't say anything until July 29), etc, etc, etc.

  2. Lately, I've gotten a lot done, but I blame that more on my husband's busy work schedule than anything else. He's had to hole up in his office after dinner every night to meet deadlines, so I usually retreat up to the sewing room for a few hours so I don't bother him. I'm getting a little lonely, but I've made some serious headway on my h2h projects this past week!

  4. Oh, I agree, the blue quilt is wonderful - front and back. A great man's quilt - we do have to remember our family occassionally. I work much the same - too many going at once - HA! But find I am getting more stitcheries done.

  5. Still getting amazing amounts of stuff done, I see! I've been taking a break from crafty things the past couple of months - and for one more week! I get to go to a pastors' wives retreat this week, and then I plan to jump back into my crafting. Enjoy your week!

  6. The Marine quilt is excellent! Blue always trips my trigger:)
I'll be finishing (with any luck) the last of the new drywall in our kitchen this week and finishing up a baby quilt. Of course there's always fabric to dye:)

  7. Whew! You get so much done. If I got off the computer and quit looking at all you get done, I might get something done.

  8. Beautiful quilts all, Sarah, but the blue one is particularly eye-catching.

  9. Are you kidding? Your marine quilt is gorgeous. I was admiring it even before I read that you gave it to your DH for Father's Day. My husband just got a couple of shirts from me, not that he complained.
