Can I get a Whoop-Whoop?? Scattered Showers....

Hi, all!

Well, it's Friday - are you ready to get your whoop whoop on???

I am very very happy to say that I finished the quilt for the silent auction today - hand quilting and all!!!

I'm so happy with the way this came out - Kona Ash on the front, along with a six-pack of Anthology fat quarters - made by Kate Conklin's pattern, Scattered Showers...

...hand quilted with two colors of thread - dusty teal blue and a vivid apple green - around each of the Anthology blocks.....

...and a back pieced with the leftover Anthology and Kona coal!  And done two days before it is needed!!  Woohoo!!

I highly recommend Kate's patterns - they are wonderfully written, very clear and simple and create such great quilts!

And take a look at what I found in the clearance bin
 at my local Kroger's.......

Cute, right?  But look a little closer....

Do you see it?  The Kate Spain logo on the left side of the label?
Yes, Kate Spain is even at my grocery store!
Woohoo!!

So that's my accomplishment for the week!
I'm one happy camper!!

What are you doing the happy dance about?
Remember, you've got until Saturday at midnight to
link up and share!!
Hope to see you there!!

Hugs!

Sarah

  2. Wish we could send some of those "Scattered Showers" to Texas. We are saturated here in South Louisiana, with hopes we can share with our neighbors. Love those Clearance Bins!

  7. the quilt is lovely and the tea towels are the icing on the cake. I received two of Kate's patterns from the lovely Hands-2-help-charity quilt challenge and I hope to tackle one soon. Hope you are doing well.

  8. What an awesome quilt Sarah! I've seen some of Kate's stuff around my local Home Goods store.

I accidently posted my entry twice, # 6 and #8. I tried figuring out how to delete one of them. No luck. Would you mind? Thank you!!

  9. I love when I get projects done before they are due...unfortunately, right now I have one past due. UGH. Hopefully today I can put a dent in it.

I miss my Kroger grocery store! We don't have it here in this area. I'll have to be on the lookout for Kate Spain here. You never know what you might find in the grocery store!
