I will confess, I haven't had much time this week to work with my scraps - Hands2Help has been taking almost all my available time - but I did have a chance to finish the flying geese blocks for the Long Time Gone quilt that I had only started last week...
And see that plastic jar in the back? It's got a bunch of bonus HSTs left over from the making of these three blocks - won't they be fun to play with? And here's a few ideas that would be great for them....
This quilt is the creation of P., who blogs over at The Way I Sew It - I absolutely love it! You could use any size HST for this!
And this one - so simple, but just gorgeous! A great way to use up scraps.....
And now for some scrappy inspiration that I ran across this week...
Is this not the cutest I-Spy ever?
(But it's not my pattern and I don't have a pattern for it!)
Hopefully by next week, I'll have carved out some time to work on my Long Time Gone quilt - I don't want to lose momentum on it! So tell me - what are you working on to help tame your scrap monster?
Hugs!
Sarah
Inspiration indeed!!! Those HST make that quilt really stand out with the colour changes, and a cat's face just there, delightful. Thanks for sharing those.
ReplyDeleteNot much going on here although I did manage to get the binding on the top of one of the ministry quilts but still have to do the hand work. I also pulled out a UFO and sewed a little bit on it. I'm going to try to work on it as I have time. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteI really love that first quilt in the scrappy inspiration list, I think part of the reason is I see it using up so many scraps.
ReplyDeleteHa! What a hoot to see my flimsy, Sarah. I should send you a better quality jpeg than the FB version. Anyway, thanks for brightening my day with all the scrappy goodness. I may actually get around to blogging about that today, lol.
