Well, Friday is showing its lovely face once again, and you know what that means - it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!! Let's go!
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
This week I was putting away some fabric, and discovered this material that was perfect for a quilt back...
...and so that got whipped up. Then today I had few minutes to sew and decided to load this quilt on the frame.....
Some big loopy meandering...
...and this quilt was ready for its photo shoot!!
The sun even decided to come out and join the party!
And once again, here's the back that jump-started this finish!
So - - - can I get a whoop whoop??
*&*&*&*&*&*&*
And now it's your turn!
What's got you whooping it up this week?
What's making you do a little happy dance?
Share! We want to dance right along with you,
And it's always more fun to dance with friends!
The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.
Hope to see you there!
Hugs!
Sarah
What a wonderful, colorful quilt. That backing is so nice too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt - front and back! I finally finished two 'big' quilt tops and then proceeded to make a few miniature (baby size) of the same pattern - perfect for left over fabric pieces :)!
ReplyDeleteI love it when things come together. That is a perfect back for your cheerful quilt.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, your back looks like a great variation of the Postcard from Sweden quilt. What a wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeletePerfect fabric for a backing--and a great new quilt!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish for just a few minutes to sew!
ReplyDeleteThat backing fabric is so fun!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! AND it's reversible!!
ReplyDeletePERFECT backing fabric for that quilt!!! What an AWESOME finish!
ReplyDeleteWhoop Whoop! I love it when a project picks its backing, quilting and binding! Lovely. MelvaLovesScraps(at)NolanQualityCustoms(dot)com
ReplyDeleteThe back fabric is lovely and it's perfect for the quilt. Sorry I go linked up twice because I got confused when I tried to link up. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt! You're right; that backing fabric is PERFECT for this top. I like the way you quilted it, too -- kind of like large scale spiral meandering? Congrats on a wonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great quilt, but an amazing backing. It's like you have a reversible quilt. Well done. Whoop whoop!!
ReplyDeleteLovely, colourful quilt! I love the effect of curvy quilting over straight piecing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great surprise to find that fabric in your stash. Perfect for backing and the quilt is beautiful. Congratulations on a finish.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love seeing this one all finished! If you recall, I made a whole quilt of those disappearing blocks. They are soooo busy, I think the way you set them on point and surrounded by a calming gray is really the best way to handle them. Congrats on such a bright, fun finish!
ReplyDeleteI love it when fabric inspires a new quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhoop whoop!!! Very nice backing!! You seem to always get so much done! I'm beginning to think you've found a way to make time stand still.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a finish. The quit is just beautiful and the bag caught my eye!
ReplyDeleteI love this vibrant finish! And that backing! WHOOP WHOOP!
ReplyDeleteI love when that happens! Its a great finish - congratulations.
