Hi, all!
Well, today I actually worked on something scrappy! One of our quilt ministry members ended up moving to another state as a result of a COVID-related job loss in her family, and we decided to make a collaboration quilt for her. I finally picked up all the completed blocks this week and started laying it out on the wall today...
It's certainly going to be an eclectic quilt! I had to add some strips to some of the blocks to bring them up to size and trim down some others. All the outer blocks are 12.5" square. I thought the center heart block was 36.5" square, but imagine my surprise when I sewed the side blocks together and they were longer! Oops..... But easy enough to fix. I'll trim it down a bit and add a stop border to bring it to the right size. Hopefully this one will be assembled before the end of the week so I can take it to one of the other members for quilting. She has a new long arm machine she needs to break in!
And how about a little inspiration? Not as much as usual today because it's been a busy week, but I did find two really beautiful pairs of quilts....
A farewell quilt, the centre heart is truly lovely, this is so full of love from every one who designed and sewed a block, the finish will be with someone else's loving hands.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to put disparate blocks together, but you've done a great job! What a nice gift!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt to send to your friend who had to move.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite surprised how much I like the front quilt on the Lynncarsonharris photo! Nice collaboration quilt, too!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely start out to be a scrappy week here, Sarah. The BEST kind of week and I got my 1st COVID vaccine today!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been having lots of problems living together, he never gives me attention or makes me happy because he has fallen in love with another woman outside our marriage. I tried my best to make sure that my husband leaves this woman but the more I talk to him about it the more he makes me feel sad and unhappy, My marriage started leading to divorce because he no longer gives me attention. I wanted to forget him but i love him and didn't want to lose him. We have been married for years and he is all I could call a true best friend and best in all, the man that handles my problems perfectly, the man that makes sacrifices for ,my happiness. I wanted him back in my life badly and I was so confused. My Friends told me to buy books about relationships, so I went online for relationship books while I came across a spell caster called Dr Emu. I read testimonies and reviews about him so I contacted him immediately, explained my problems to him. Same day , he casted a spell for me and assured me for 2 days that my husband will return to me and to my greatest surprise the third day my husband came knocking on my door and begged for forgiveness. I am so happy that my love is back again and not only that, we are about to get married again, he proposed. I wouldn't stop talking about him. Contact him today if you need his help via email: emutemple@gmail.com and you will see that your problem will be solved without any delay. Website: https://emutemple.wordpress.com/
