Make-A-List Monday - Spring Is On The Horizon!

Hi, all!

It's Monday once again, and it's starting to look just a little bit like spring!  I've got two daffodils blooming in my yard, and a host of others that are poking their heads up and thinking about it.  Unfortunately, though, the dandelions are starting to show up too - I may start paying a bounty to the grandkids for each yellow dandelion they bring to me!  My neighbor always laughed at me for popping the heads off of them last spring, but I figure if they don't get to the puffball stage, there won't be so many of them!  I do love spring, though, and can't wait to see what comes up again.  Warm days, come our way!

While I'm waiting for the lovely warm weather, though, I'm sewing up a storm.  Here's how last week's list went...

1.  Make the blocks and assemble the puzzle quilt.
Done, finished and shipped!  This was a fun one to make and I really feel like Lilli and I have made a breakthrough on putting these together a little bit easier.  Good thing, too, because I've got at least one more on the horizon!

2.  Quilt the next String Therapy quilt.
3.  Write the next String Therapy tutorial.
Done!  You can see more of this quilt by clicking here!

4.  Cut the sashing for the USPS t-shirt quilts.
Done, and ready to assemble!

So I did accomplish what I really needed to do - finish the  puzzle quilt.  But I also got a commission for two more t-shirt quilts, so the fun continues!!!  It looks like another busy week ahead, so here's my plan for the week...

 1.  Finish the two USPS t-shirt quilts.

2.  Work with my repair guy, Joe, to get Jolene (my long arm) back up and running well!

3.  Quilt the final String Therapy quilt and write the tutorial.

4.  Plan out another puzzle style quilt.

5.  Assemble a gift quilt top (someone else will be quilting it).

6.  Start cutting pieces for my vacation project.

I've got so much more I could be doing, but I think this list is at least possible to accomplish.  If I work my way through it, I'll just add one of those extra things hanging around!

It's hard to believe that this coming Sunday is the final String Therapy tutorial - because that means that Hands2Help starts the next Sunday!  I hope you'll consider joining in this year if you haven't before - it's fun, low key and very do-able.

So now, the only question left is - - - what are YOU working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. I could never pick all the dandelions growing in our yard, but then they are an important food source for the bees, so I leave them be. Fortunately, only one person in our neighbor is a lawn freak, so my yard fits right in. Guess I'd better figure out what to do for H2H.

  2. I used to pay our daughter a nickel for every dandelion she plucked. Got expensive after awhile but kept her busy and gave her some spending money too. Time to enjoy spring!
