Happy Friday!! It's been a busy week, for me at least. But I've got a fun finish to show off today - all bundled up in a lot of anticipation!
Anticipation, because my daughter is pregnant and due around the end of the month - so we are anticipating a new granddaughter, Emmalyn Elise!
This is the quilt I made for little Emmie. I used Cherri House's "Welcome Spring" pattern (you can see it here) and some of Kate Spain's beautiful Good Fortune, mixed with Kona White.
And I had so much fun quilting this - can you see the design? Each print row has alternating hearts and the word "love". At the very bottom right corner of the quilt, instead of following the last "love" with hearts, I wrote "nana" - so it's signed on the front of the quilt "love nana"! Did you know you can get writer's cramp while quilting? I'm living proof!!
And here's the back - a beautiful piece of quilter's flannel in green and purple with a strip of the prints from the front running across it. So soft and cuddly!
Hopefully soon I'll be posting pictures of our new granddaughter with her big sister! Lilli is very excited - she even learned how to change a diaper this weekend at "Big Sister Class" and says she'll change all the wet diapers, but not the "poopy" ones! Smart kid!!
