Well, last week was quite a week - my husband was home all week with a kidney stone, so everything was in an uproar here. But it did mean that I got in some serious sewing time while trying to be quiet so he could rest! (Quiet is not my default setting...) So let's see how last week's list went!
1. Write the sample block tutorial.
Done! And if you've made the sample block, I'd love to know how it went - did you have any problems or suggestions? If you didn't make it yet, here's the link - just in case you've been fighting temptation!
2. Finish the wall-hanging size sample.
Done! And I'm in love with this design - I'm actually getting ready to cut out another one this week!
3. Sandwich and quilt a commission quilt.
Done! She'll be picking it up later this week.
4. Sandwich a gift quilt.
Not only sandwiched, but quilted and bound! I finished this this afternoon. More pictures to come on Friday!
5. Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.
Done! We gave this quilt to a veteran who is going through serious medical issues..
...and this quilt went to a new baby girl!
I did also find time last week to finish off these two pillow covers, which will go to my grandkids, along with the one I made last week from the quilt-along sample block. The two quilted pieces were originally made by Lauren M. and sent to me to finish - I promised to find them a good home and I think they'll be happy with my grands!
So what's up for this week? Well, since the quilt-along is only a week away and I'm not ready yet, I think that's top of the list! Here are my goals...
1. Write the pre-quilt-along post about fabric requirements.
2. Write at least the first three days of the quilt-along.
3. Quilt the quilt-along top I finished last week.
4. Cut out and assemble another version!
5. Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.
It's so nice to have all the "have-to's" out of the way so I can concentrate on the quilt-along!
So now the question is - - - what are YOU working on this week?
Hugs!
Sarah
Love, love, LOVE that LOVE quilt!!!
ReplyDeleteExcited about the QAL; I have the fabric ready, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing the last two blocks of a lap quilt.
Deep purple to pale, that is stunning, and the quilting lines fit it so well. Love the baby quilt too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your wall-size sample!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that purple quilt is fabulous! Bold and modern with interesting transparency elements. Can't wait to see more of it :)
