Make-A-List Monday - Back From The Beach and Back To Work!

Hi, all!

Boo hoo - vacation's over!  But we had a wonderful time and I'm feeling all rested and rejuvenated and ready to get back to work.  Good thing, too, because there's so much to do!!  July means it's time for the 12 Days of Christmas in July blog hop...

...and I hope you're as excited about it as I am!  We've got 25 fabulous bloggers getting ready to share, and I'm working on hard on this year's quilt-along, too.  Last week I shared the design and a coloring sheet so you can start planning your own (this post), along with some design inspiration.  I also shared some templates you might want to consider.

Tomorrow (hopefully) I'll be sharing a tutorial for this sample block, so you can either (a) work out the kinks before starting in on your good fabric, or (b) see how easy it is and get over being afraid of kaleidoscope quilts!  Next week I'll share the fabric requirements for two different sizes - as soon as I get them all figured out.  The blog hop and quilt-along will start on July 14th, and run daily through July 25th - fun fun fun!

So you can see that this is likely to be a very busy week!  Here's what's on my plate right now...

1.  Write the sample block tutorial.

2.  Finish the wall-hanging size sample.

3.  Sandwich and quilt a commission quilt.

4.  Sandwich a gift quilt.

5.  Keep up with any quilt ministry needs that come up.

That's a short list, and there's lots more I could add, but these are the most important ones.  If I manage to get these things done, I'll move on to the "auxiliary list"!

So now the question is - - - what are YOU working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. I know this Hop will be as much fun and have as many new projects as the other years. Love that block.

  2. My last kaleidoscope quilt was quite the challenge, so I'm looking forward to your tips on making it easier! I'm hoping the block is 12.5" or smaller so I can use the sample for Covered in Love's latest block drive. If not, that's OK, too.
