Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Things Are Improving!

Hi, all!

Friday has rolled around once again (can you believe it's the last day of January already?) and we all know what that means - it's time for us to get our whoop-whoop on!  Let's get started....

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

It's been a busy week of packing and moving, and I'm finally starting to see some headway!  This week the kitchen went from this...

...to this!  I'm so much happier with the color now, and I think I can even learn to love the black glass backsplash.  Good thing, because I really don't want to put in another backsplash anytime soon!

Next up was carpeting!  It's not completely done - they didn't measure a couple of things correctly, so they had to order more carpet -  but it's done enough to set up my quilt room and move our furniture over next Tuesday!

I can't wait to fill this space up with all my quilt-y things!  I've already started hauling boxes upstairs, but there's a lot more to come...

And the latest whoop-whoop worthy thing?  I now have internet and TV!  Hooray!!!  And no, I don't watch soaps - that's just what came on when he set up the TV - but I was so happy to see a picture I didn't even notice what was on!

I took my two large Kallax shelf units apart yesterday afternoon, and my goal for today is to get them set up and bring some more stuff upstairs to the studio.  It's hard to believe how much stuff I had in my old studio, but I bet hauling it all upstairs will convince me to use up what I have and not buy any more!

So - - - can I get a whoop whoop?

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

And now it's your turn!

What's got you whooping it up this week?

What's making you do a little happy dance?

Share!  We want to dance right along with you,

And it's always more fun to dance with friends!

The party will stay open until Sunday midnight.

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. Wow, your kitchen (after) is stunning! And your sewing space will be wonderful. I’d be racing up those stairs to unpack (the first time, then I’d be panting for air). I hope you enjoy setting up your space.

  4. Glad you're getting settled in. Love what we've seen so far. My husband and I have lived in the same house our whole married life, 40+ years. I can't imagine moving! I'm sure that's a good way to go through all the stuff and downsize.

  6. Moving is both stressful and fun at the same time. Getting things done sometimes is a pain, but a new spot to decorate and play in can be enjoyable. Have a great time in your new space!

  8. so nice - I have been in the same house for 40 years, I wish we would have moved years ago but now I don't feel like it as I did then - it would be a good way to get rid of stuff though

  16. Wow! What a difference -- your new kitchen really sparkles now. I don't envy you, hoisting the boxes up the stairs. Maybe do it a few at a time; you don't want to injure any quilting muscles!

  19. Hi Sarah! I just adore seeing your photos and your new home coming together. Your kitchen is GORGEOUS. I would love to pull up a stool, have a quick cuppa and then haul some boxes upstairs to that fabulous sewing space. It's good for the glutes, I'd tell both of us. Happy Saturday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne

  25. According to Stanford Medical, It is really the one and ONLY reason women in this country get to live 10 years more and weigh on average 42 pounds lighter than we do.

(By the way, it is not related to genetics or some secret exercise and really, EVERYTHING to do with "HOW" they are eating.)

BTW, I said "HOW", and not "what"...
