Hi, all!
I haven't had much time for scrap sewing this week (although I have made a bunch of scraps to add to the stash!) but I did find some seriously great inspiration! So I'll share that with you, and see if it inspires you as well...
How about this fabulous orphan block quilt?
And just think how many scraps this design would use up (and my blue scrap bin is overflowing...)
I love the simplicity of a two-color quilt, and this one is so pretty!
Honestly, I'm not sure whether I like the quilt top or her sewing space better!
This is sure a rainbow of scrappy goodness, isn't it?
I adore the light, vibrant colors in this quilt!
And this next quilt is a great and colorful example of what you can do with small rectangles! Imagine if you snuck in some fussy cut pieces?
I have one of these quilts in the works myself - maybe I should finish it? This is a great example, with all the background scraps being Disney-themed materials!
And now, here are some quilts I spotted for my String Therapy inspiration board....
I really love this herringbone quilt - such a great design. Now if I can just find an easy way to teach it!
Aren't these little trees fun? A different way to use scrap strip strata for sure!
I'm not sure why these blocks speak to me - probably the color - but aren't they a fabulous use of scraps?
Maria made a pair of these quilts, and when I commented on them on Instagram, she said she posted them for me and my upcoming tutorial series. Great minds think alike!
And isn't this a pretty, colorful quilt? Simple, but fun and effective.
And now it's time to go forth and scrap quilt! What are you working on this week?
Hugs!
Sarah
Thanks for sharing your fabulous scrappy finds. Inspiring! I better get busy.
ReplyDeleteWell, this has certainly stirred the bees with ideas this morning. I'm not sure if that's a "Thanks!" or and "OH, no!". ha, ha
ReplyDeleteI love the scrappy strip trees and the flying geese. Thanks for the inspiration and for checking the info on your gifted scrap drawers. Michael's is out of them online and none of our local Michael's have them in stock either. Obviously, they are a great product if they are sold out. Hopefully, they'll be back in stock soon.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilts.
ReplyDeleteLove the string quilts. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI like the gradient of the blue and pinks quilt-very artistic!
ReplyDeleteSo many fun pieces here! I'm such a sucker for the rainbow ones. I just finished a herringbone piece similar to what you show, and I admit it was a bit of a pain. The method I used had tons of partial seams and by the end I was Over. It. The end result is satisfying, though :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I absolutely love the one from beezuscomplex!!
