I May Have a Scrap Problem... Inspiration!

Hi, all!

I have realized that it is time to write this week's Wednesday post, and - - - I got nothing!  I have been so busy working on repairing a vintage quilt and sprucing up my front yard that I haven't really worked on scraps at all this week.  But fortunately I did find some beautiful inspiration on Instagram this week, so I'll share that so we can all rev up our desires to do some scrappy sewing...

Isn't this a glorious explosion of color?  She calls it her triptych quilt, and if I remember correctly, it's a collaborative effort with a group of friends.  I love all the variety of styles with in the quilt, and would love to do something in a similar improv style with my solids scrappy stash!

This pattern is Glimmer by Jennifer Kingwell, and it has been on my bucket list for a while now.  This is a very pretty version of that quilt!  Jen really is a great scrap quilter, with so many fabulous ideas!

Isn't this an amazing quilt?  I particularly love the one little section of red - it takes it from nice to spectacular!

And last, but certainly not least, how about this great scrap quilt?  I'm not quite sure what it is about this one that speaks to me so loudly, but I do love it!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

So sorry for not having more to offer today, but I should have the vintage quilt finished in the next day or so and can get back to scrap quilting and organizing!  What are you working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  3. I like that last one, too! It's the little strip of black between each piece that makes it sing :)

  4. Hi Sarah! We all have those weeks sometimes. How do you get Instagram photos to share?? I have often wanted to do that - to share some inspiration on my blog with credit to the person, obviously. I have thought about just taking a screen shot on my phone or even on the desktop. Anyhoo - great inspiration pieces for all of us. ~smile~ Roseanne
